  1. If you still need help with this, send me a pm and we can discuss. Cutting coro is not very difficult. The shipping is going to eat into your cost a little I would imagine.

    Price Question

I would say that is a very fair price. Don't feel guilty for charging for your time and work. If in doubt, call a local sign shop and ask what the ballpark price would be and you'll find out what sticker shock really is.
  6. Hi Damen, I can help you with your printing needs. Drop me an email with the particulars, size, quantity, etc. and I will do my best on pricing. I should be able to get it out to you with a 24 hr. turnaround without any problem. Let me know how best to assist you, Keith keithackerman@juno.com

    Pricing large sign job

You probably need to stick with a time and materials idea to protect yourself. A project like this is impossible to know what all aggrivation you might find once started. If you bid it, put a clause in regarding any extras at t&m. What looks like an hour of work may take ten.
  8. Forgot to mention, sub out the work to one of us and still make your profit. I'm all about free enterprise. If you have a client that is willing to pay and you can get the work done and save some money, it all goes in your pocket at the end of the day, less Uncle Sammy's greedy little fingers. Might save you a ton of work and you get paid for doing the contracting. Makes sense to me?
  9. I agree Stetson, I was just throwing out some ballpark retail numbers for him to think about. Sometimes it is better to work smart than to work hard and not make as much in the end. My pricing would be in line with yours as well. I try to give forum members a break on price and push their work to the top of the list and get things out within a day sometimes same day, if possible. Thanks,
  10. You are in the ball park figuring on $12/sq. ft. as a pricing guide. I can't land any jobs asking that much but?? To be competitive, you will need to charge a bit less. How much time do you have to do this order? Using that printer, you will definitely be a while. 334 sq. ft. of vinyl, the printing alone will take you several days, plus cut and laminate time. At photo quality, 5 min./sq. ft. times 334 = 1670 min. / 60 = 28 hours of print time. Sub the job out to one of us that has a large format printer and you can still make a $ and get the job done without so much work and aggravation. Just some thoughts,
  11. Just a thought, I would run these through my printer. I understand about the time weeding and in this situation it is hard to get paid for your time weeding when it is cheaper to get them printed. If you figure that you have around 8 sq. inches in the sticker, you would be at a total of 18 stickers per sq. ft. (I am uncertain to the total size,) Average a cost of $10/ft for the printed vinyl and you would be around $.56 per sticker. If you need someone to print this for you, feel free to pm me and I will be happy to help you out. My turnaround time is usually one day for forum members. Hope this helps out,

mutoh falcon outdoor 46" head fuse HELP

Not long ago I had a tech out to work on my mutoh. He jumped the fuses with an alligator clip in order to replace the head and get everything working. He didn't have the proper fuses for the machine. He came back later and replaced the soldered in fuses with fuse holders and snap in fuses. He told me that if the print heads dry out and are trying to fire dry they will blow a fuse right away. With the machine off, check the continuity across the fuse and see if it is blown. Open means blown, continuity means the fuse is ok. Hope this helps
