    About to buy new CE6000-60

Well I just purchased the CE6000-60! Should be here Wednesday! I too will give a brief overview of my experience going from a PCut to a Graphtec over the weekend after I've had some time to play. In other news... Graphtec America finally went live on their page this morning about the new cutters. http://www.graphtecamerica.com/ce6000series.html

This is an awesome write-up on the new plotter! I'm really excited about getting one! Keep us updated with anything else you come up with!

    LOVE MY FED-EX MAN!!!!!!

Would love to see some of your first impressions of the new Graphtec when you get it up and running!
  11. USCutter copied Graphtec Americas CE6000 verbiage on their webpage, which Graphtec copied from their CE5000 page. USCutter must have done it before Graphtec changed the numbers.
  12. Hmmm went there a minute ago and it said unavailable under the price. Must have been a server glitch as it is working now.
  13. Well this is odd... Adorama no longer has the FC8000, which they probably weren't an authorized dealer anyway so there goes my hopes of the higher end model. But now USCutter doesn't have the CE6000. They either sold out or they are halting order until Graphtec officially announces the model "later this week" from what a rep told me.
  14. Well that was nice of them. I'm hoping USCutter will have some kind of incentive like they did with the CE5000. But I'm also considering an FC8000 for $3000 at Adorama.

I noticed that you too have a PCut. I'm really looking for a comparison to that!

I'm dying to know more about the machine! How's the cut quality? Can you post any pics?

Awesome! As long as I don't have to worry about it then I should be good to go. Just waiting for my business check card to get here. I was also checking out Cutting Master on Graphtecs website and it looks pretty awesome. Might be kind of nice to not leave Illustrator and have to load Flexi all the time. I literally only use the cut button in Flexi.

Oh sweet! I thought it was a new build I would need from Flexi... and they aren't the quickest to come out with stuff like that.
  19. Spoke to a rep from Graphtec USA today. The CE6000-60 is definitely 300 grams of force.
  20. Well they aren't officially announcing it on their front page, but when you change the 5 to a 6 you'll see that Graphtec has set up a product page with a manual. http://www.graphtecamerica.com/ce6000series.html
  21. I hear you on the rebranding, it's a definite possibility. I just thought it was weird that they would keep the same downforce as the 5000, but yet they talk about how the 6000 gets even closer to the FC line. I'm just surprised that graphtec hasn't mentioned it yet. But maybe they are waiting to get rid of existing inventory.
  22. Here's a link to the PDF I saw... I wonder why there are so many different specs around... http://www.anilinkompaniet.se/img/Graphtec/Graphtec_CE6000_serien.pdf
  23. Looks like USCutter has the prices fixed now. I'm wondering if their specs are right though, I found a PDF for the 6000 a week ago that talks about higher force in the 60 model. I'm still about a month out before I'm ready to upgrade from a PCut... hopefully we'll see some reviews by then.
  24. I'm looking to upgrade my Creation PCut in the next couple of months. I can either buy a brand new CE-5000 24" from USCutter, or I might have the opportunity to purchase a very used FC-5100 30" from the sign shop I used to work at. There is nothing technically wrong with the FC-5100... It just has a lot of miles on it. The thing is a work horse and the only "problem" is that their designer has to keep replacing the cutting strip every four or five months. They have had the machine for about 6 years now and want a wider one. I'm not printing anything so I don't really care about the contour cutting feature (as of now). The designer thinks the owner will want between $500 - $700 for it. So what do you think? Is it worth that much? Would you go with that one over a new CE-5000? My main concern is getting something that doesn't limit me in size and content like the PCut, and getting something that cuts way nicer than the PCut so weeding is easier and cutting smaller things is possible. Your thoughts?
  25. No way. I'm buying at USCutter. Just pointing out that more sites are starting to mention it. I won't even be upgrading for a couple of months anyway.
