    Registration Mark Problem

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem I've been stumped on this for two nights. As you will soon realize, I'm a newbie in need of help. This is the error message I get when the Graphtec Controller is searching the registration marks. This is a screen shot of where the registration marks were placed. (The actual printed sheet has the images 'mirrored' for t-shirt transfer. The X Y distance in the above picture was taken from coreldraw when the registration marks were made. Whenever I line up the cutter blade in the place indicated by the 'green' (on first image) and either choose "Read Marks" or "Search Marks" it will read the first mark and travel towards the second mark and can't read it. I've had it read the second mark when changing some of the settings but it has never completed a successful reading of the registration marks and started cutting. Here are a few more screen shots of other settings. I may not be able to respond until tomorrow night. Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated. In advance, THANKS.

    Transfer Sheet

Thanks, MrMopar64. I did, finally, figured out enough to cut a sheet. You are right. Boy, that transfer sure is thin.

I just noticed that you live in Punta Gorda. My mother and sister live in Port Charlotte. I usually visit them a couple times a month. It's a small world after-all.

Prototype66, I live in Seminole and work in Largo (full time at a marina). The photography business is just getting started. Something to do during retirement, a couple years away. mr300s, no offense, but I hope never to have to meet your half brother. At least not law related.

    Transfer Sheet

Guess I'll just jump right in. I hope you all will go easy on me since I'm a newbie. I'm sure to ask some dumb questions. I'll usually spend a day or two trying to figure something out on my own or by researching different websites and forums, before asking for help. For a little bit about me, you can see my post in the "Introduction" forum. I am printing on jetpro soft stretch and want to cut around all the letters and images. I've noticed in some of the videos where before going to the cutter, the transfer paper was placed on, I'm assuming a "transfer sheet". This would hold all the letters and images in place and allow for weeding out the unwanted transfer material. In vinyl work, I believe this would be refereed to as transfer tape. I'm assuming what I would need would be called a transfer sheet? I have not been able to locate any and would appreciate a source for such sheets. In advance, thanks.

Thank you Skeeter. I am enjoying the cutter. I'm finding out that their is a learning curve to all the components (software and hardware). Heaven help me!

    Newbie from Florida

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie from Florida. I just purchased a Graphtec C5000-60 with the Coreldraw 3X and an Epson Workforce 1100 printer. I'm not going in the T-Shirt or sign business, but plan on creating my own shirts and signs for my photography business. I've had a heatpress for years and used the Avery transfer paper but now plan to step it up a few notches and go "bigger" on the transfer papers and use vinyl, as well, for shirts and signs. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions. I look forward to conversing with all of you and hopefully 'will gain enough knowledge to help some newbies down the road.
