99 times out of 100, a 24" cutter will do the trick... for those 1 time jobs, you can just tile/overlap the decal to get a larger sized outcome.

Anyone else here work crazy hours? I am sooooo bored!
firemalt replied to bayshorecreations's topic in General discussion
Crazy hours work is better than no work! For the last 10 years, 10 days a month, I work from 7am one morning til 7am the next morning... of course I get to cook, eat, sleep, play on the computer, watch television, and drive a $750,000 ladder truck. -

Shower... get all soaped up, then use the banner like a slip-n-slide. After the fun hasbeen had, then lay the vinyl, and squeegee.

Select/highlight the font and then do a total weld.

Are you importing them, or opening the file?

Most likely because the image you are trying to cut are just that... clipart, either jpg's or gif's. The images must be vectorized and saved as eps format before the cutter will reconize what you want it to cut.

I'd personally go one line higher. Shelia says she has a 24" cutter, and the sign is 4'x4', so cutting between the "realty management" and "maximizing your real estate needs" would put you closer to the center mark.

7 days early... you're on your game, Schramm! I bet you've been wondering why your kid(s) haven't mentioned anything, huh?!?!

Hope to have a setup as nice as that sometime in the future whenever I retire from the fire service... thanks for sharing the pictures, gives me something to look forward to doing someday.

wet or big squeegee FTW...

Like James said... split the design into 2 pieces so the cutter doesn't tile the design through a word... easier yet, on your cutter software, just adjust the size of your vinyl width until you get it to tile where you want it to.

I have a 10"x60" decal that needs to be shipped out. I'm about to throw down some clear app tape on the decal cause it's multi layered, and was just curious if anyone has trouble with clear app tape tunneling or any other known problems when rolled for shipping? Thanks for any info... Tim

I know I either have, or have used the sans block font but don't have it on my laptop or it maybe on my home computer... the script at the bottom is so small, I can hardly make out the word, much less the type of font.

I looked, but was unsucessful... sorry.

Best way to lineup vinyl on a CE5000?
firemalt posted a topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Well, I've run about 10 yards of vinyl through my CE5000 this morning, and still haven't figured out the best way to make it track endlessly. The grooves help, and the roll claps help... but whats the secret to getting everything lined up, quickly? BTW... this things cuts like a freaking dream. At first when I was doing a "test" cut, I was getting a little concerned cause the little square/triangle looked crappy. Then I noticed I had been jacking with the settings for the pen, not the blade. Once I figured that out, there wasn't any stopping me! Glad I made the purchase, and wish I would of done it sooner... much sooner! -

Best way to lineup vinyl on a CE5000?
firemalt replied to firemalt's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Just cut two 10"x75" decals with no tracking problem what-so-ever... even with the speed at 25! It cut both decals within 1 minute! > Did I mention... I love this damn machine, wish I would of bought this thing sooner!!! -
LOL... I don't even what to know what that big hairly lump sticking out from behind the right side of the drum set is!!!

Round2Racing... no reason to be harsh, the guy is only trying to be helpful. How often do you think he'll post if he gets bashed with every post. Give him a chance to atleast reply and explain the formula. -
For clear app tape, I use the R-Tape Clear Choice AT-60 as well... works great for multi layer stuff, but it's full of static, and it's terrible when applied to vinyl if any heat is applied to it(i.e. left inside a vehicle on a warm day).

Disconnect and reconnect your usb or serial cable Try a new cable Check your Flexi settings Update the Flexi drivers Reinstall the Flexi drivers Update the cutter's drivers Reinstall the cutter's drivers Reinstall Flexi Hopefully, the first or second step works!
