I know what you mean on the VOP's. I have seen one that is on his 5th violation, and all he got was 45 days. And he will be right back out again. I kinda makes me mad when these people come in and start blaming what ever happened to them on everybody else. Then they get a $5000 bond and pay it like it dont make any difference to them. It is going to get worse as far as the mentally ill are concerned here in TN. Unless you have insurance, you might as well forget about getting any kind of help. Even if you attempt suicide, they will not talk to you unless you have insurance and they are getting to where they wont come out for consultations on nights or weekends also. At least here in TN,we now the right to protect our selves where ever we are, not just in our homes.

Dont even get me started on stuff like this. I have been working as a correctional officer in the county jail for about 1.5 year now, and I have seen several that have been in there for over a year waiting on trial. Some of them will try to act like they are mentally ill, but when they go to a mental hospital and see the doctors, the truth comes out. Here if you are caught on a DUI, you might do 48 hrs and pay some fines on the first offense, but I have seen several that have come back on the same charge before they even get sentenced n their first charge. The bad thing is, if they have not been sentenced on the first one, the second still counts as a first offense, hence no more time for the second one. As for the probation violation offenders, they do make up the majority of the inmates in jail. But basically all they are doing is serving the time that they originally got when they went to court. They might serve about 30 days, and get out on probation again. At the jail I work at, they get the basic channels over the air, no cable in the pods. The ones in lockdown dont even have TV. And the cells are DEFINITELY not comfortable, they have 2 sheets, 1 blanket, and a mat that is no more that 2 inches thick at the most on steel bunks. Most of the time we house about 35-40 inmates in about a 20 man cell pod.

It is the same way here in Tennessee where I live. If they say the first thing about just a little flurry, you might as well forget about trying to get any milk or bread, cause there is not gonna be any left in the stores.

The only graphics programs that I am using right now are SBE, Gimp, and Inkscape, as I cant afford corel or adobe right now. My main comp right now is a HP laptop, and I have just about filled my hard drive on it. But I also do everything on it, from music to cutting and designing my graphics in SBE, and right now I have something plug into every port on it just about. I have been talking to a few people about a new desktop already, and like some of you said, I will definitely keep my laptop in service. Besides you never know when you might need to take it some where to show a potential customer what something will look like before you make it.

Carolina Vinyl. I got one from them awhile back. The only thing is that the website is not up to date, but they still have some decent prices on the sign blanks.

They both look good, but I do like the one on the left better.

I finally talked my wife into letting me put some decals on her HHR. They were done in 651 yellow and red. It stands out real good on the dark tint. I am thinking about making me a banner with the same logo on it to put up in my driveway to see if it would help get a little bit more business, but I will have to wait a bit and see. The house in the background of this pic is where I am doing all of my vinyl now.

That aint the problem, I am just to busy (lazy) to do much with my website right now. I need to update, but i have been working too much lately.

My real job is a corrections officer at the county jail. I am also a vol. firefighter, first-responder, haz-mat tech for the county. And on the side, I sell and install emergency vehicle lights and equip., and also doing the vinyl thang.

I drive a 2004 Dodge 3500 CTD (16 mpg +/-), and my wife has a 2007 Chevy HHR (29 mpg +/-). I guess you could say that her gas sipper makes up for my diesel guzzler. Diesel is down to $4.45/gal here, cheapest its been in about 2 months.

Where could I get some prices on some printed banners?? My local utility company is wanting about 4 or 5 banners that will need to be printed, and of course I dont have the ability to do any thing like that. The sizes of them will be about 3x8 in size. Thanks, J. Gray

I have a 24" roll of the G 6000 in back,and have yet to have any trouble out of it. I would recommend it. As for the LG 4000 I have not used or ordered any of it yet.

Well, I might just have to break down and get one myself. Like you said, at least it wouldnt be a big loss if it didnt turn out good.

those prices are too low. I can't think how they are making any money. Has anyone here actually used them and seen their product? Their prices do seem low enough, but I would have to see some of their work before I was to order several banners from them.
