A truck that I did... Updated Feb. 26
Dellrose Custom Lighting replied to Dellrose Custom Lighting's topic in Show your work
Here is a 2005 F-150 extended cab that I have also done. The decals are on the rear side windows of the truck and it has the same phrase as the first one, but with a different font. This was actually the first truck that I did. -
Does any one have an English bulldog? Need to cut one out for a friend and haven't been able to find one anywhere yet. Thanks, J. Gray

Dellrose Custom Lighting replied to Larryc39's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
What are the typical settings for these units? Pressure? Offset? Speed?I have tried several different settings and still have some little tags on some of my cuts. And some of the straight lines are kinda jagged and I have to use a razor knife tu cut it apart. Thanks, J. Gray -

Go to dafont.com and look under the fire/ice font page. There are several different styles that you can choose from. By the way, it looks good. -
Cuts across vinyl when moving
Dellrose Custom Lighting replied to engs0062's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
Ken, I tried another USB cable and it still did the same thing. I was cutting out the letters that are on the picture that I posted in my other post, and had a pair of them in the workspace to cut and every time it would just take off cutting across the vinyl. After it did this twice, I removed one of the lines of text and it cut just fine. So I dont know if it is me, my computer or the cutter. :notsure: -

It is more of just a formality, as we have to have this on our vehicles to be able to use lights and siren. TCA say that it has to be 3" letters, so instead of going with plain boring letters, I have been using different fonts for the lettering. As for being easily identifiable, we are in small rural dept., so everyone in the community already knows who you are. -
Cuts across vinyl when moving
Dellrose Custom Lighting replied to engs0062's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
I am having the same problem with my LaserPoint. It has done this on different files, graphics and lettering, and it does not do it all of the time. I can cut something out like a flame, and it will be fine and then I will cut another one and it will just take off down the vinyl and mess the whole thing up. -
Job pricing - How much to charge?
Dellrose Custom Lighting replied to flash_design's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
+1 I am on my local vol fire dept and we dont have a lot of money to spend on stuff like this. The fire dept has help me out getting some work with my primary business, which is installing lights and sirens, and I try to help them out as much as possible when I can. If it is a large dept that has a lot of funding, go ahead and ream them a new one. But just do it discreetly. -

Terry, that is the type that I am looking for. Do you have any that have stuff like a fire hydrant, ladder, pike pole, and the likes?? Thanks!! -
Dragracer, most shipping companies do move packages or freight on the weekends for the most part. If it had been shipped with a faster service, like 2-day or 3-day service, it would have moved out of the shipping terminal sooner. Hope this helps. Thanks, J. Gray Dellrose Custom Lighting
