Thanks for the reply Kimon....what do i need to do differently in photoshop when i'm preparing the vector? I I first did a trace contour in photoshop, then used the pen tool to go over the trace contour.....afterwards I deleted the background which was the original trace contour and saved it as .eps....did i miss some steps or was i preparing it wrong?

I've uploaded the vector i made in adobe....can anyone tell me what is wrong with the file? My cutter is trying to cut out everything red.....it just goes back and forth scraping the vinyl rather than cutting around the edges. Thanks. [attachment deleted by admin]

So i just vectorized my first image. I saved it as a .eps file....then imported it into SB.....now i have a couple questions.... 1st it seems like everything i try to do it says that it contains a bitmap image and nothing can be done to it.....again this is a vector i made in adobe and saved as .eps and it opens it that way, when i go to cutter it says again that it contains a bitmap image and everything but that will be cut....then the vector shows up on my cutter screen though? 2nd....so i sized it the way i wanted and put it into the cutter screen and the cutter cut it the opposite way i wanted....meaning it just started going back and forth cutting out the area that i wanted to stay in! is there a way i can inverse that so it doesnt cut the color area of the vector? thanks in advance AL

So i got sucked in!! Actually, I got a free Ipod from this company a year or so ago and I decided I wanted an Ipod touch but didnt want to pay $300! Of course they make you do offers and get other people to sign up but now they have an option to complete offers yourself rather than refer friends.....sweet deal! If anyone is interested go check it out, I'm just about done, got family and friends all signed up then they're gonna cancel their trial offers in 3 weeks.....right now there is a free offer from stamps.com so you could potentially get a touch for free! I'll post pics when it arrives in the mail http://www.YouriPodTouch4free.com/index.php?ref=4095441 Happy Cutting! AL

There are two small red buttons on each side of the cutter, If the Carriage has moved far enough over to push one in it will lock the cutter up so the motor will not be strained. Just power off the cutter and manually slide the carriage away from the side and turn everything back on.. If the carriage is not on one of these buttons make sure there not accidentally stuck in. ding ding ding!!!! Thank you man! that was the answer! i need to learn the little secrets of my PCUT.....I'm back rolling! haha Thanks again. -

Thanks....I may have celebrated early. haha So while i was cutting another sticker signblazer froze so it had to close, the cutter just said waiting on the screen for a long time, and now it doesnt say anything at all. i've tried using the reset button, tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, still no luck. anyone ever experienced that? the LCD doesnt say anything, it just has black boxes where letters should be.....any help would be greatly appreciated -

Hello all. I am new to the site, just hooked up my PCUT last night. I hooked up the USB, the machine says online, i checked the COM port in device manager and set it to the correct one but when i click cut in signblazer nothing happens. It says loading job to cutter but the cutter hasnt responded at all. I just have the USB hooked up, do i need to hook up the other connector as well? My computer doesnt have a connector of that type. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....I just want to cut some vinyl! haha
