    Need cheap and easy website

I don't think anyone here really addressed whether or not the OP requires software to assist with designing a site, or if they already have some software that they use or are planning to use (i.e. Microsoft FrontPage, etc.). If assistance it needed with software to help design, then I would suggest finding a host that will have that service available. Different website hosting companies offer different software. It won't matter how cheap it is if you don't like using the software. Try not to be in too much of a rush to get it done. Take the time to look for something that suits your needs. If you plan on eventually make it e commerce, then take that into consideration what shopping cart you're going to want to use, and what platform it needs to be supported on (Windows or Linux).

  4. I considered and am still considering getting a third roller for my little LP24. I was cutting a decent run of Oracal 651 and managed to keep it from drift too badly (I was so proud of myself ), then I brought back to reality when I the vinyl started to tent/pucker. Fortunately it was near the end of the cut so I was able to try and freehand what the blade had either missed or slashed. I'm hoping that the pinch rollers will be listed on eBay (hint, hint) like the blades are
  5. to the forum! Initially I would think that you need to get the specifics about what you're trying to work with: dimensions and cut-out shapes, sizes and locations. Are you trying to do something specific? If you provide a little more detail I'm sure the members here will do what we can to help you!

    Should I give Negative Feedback?

I think maybe we should start a "eBay sellers to avoid" list on this forum. That seller sucks, and eBay sucks because they don't bother to police idiots like that. I feel your pain, many sellers do that when they learn they need to ship to Hawaii... I too contact all sellers in advance if shipping details do not mention Hawaii. I asked eBay if it would be possible to add: AK/HI/PR to their seller's "willing to ship to" options. They said, no, it would be too difficult to add that. It's just another stupid thing that eBay isn't paying attention to. I was a huge eBay fan when it first came out, but their lack of reasonable and rational customer service sucks badly and hate it every time I buy something from them because I can't get it cheaper any place else.

    HD TiVO w/Lifetime Subscription

Actually I do have a projector. I just don't have a screen big enough , not to mention that my current house has unpainted mahogany walls. I hung a bed sheet up as a screen a couple of times, but it really hindered the cross ventilation in the house, so I opted for a 60" pull down screen. The screen is too small and I end up having to push the projector close. The new house has t'n'g walls, but at least it's paint arctic white so I'll see what kind of shadows the ridges in the wall create. Projectors are the bomb. I wanted it to be relatively portable, so I have everything on a wheeled cart: projector, UPS, decent speakers with sub-woofer. It's all ready to go
  10. I don't know if many of you here are TiVO or DVR fans, but if you are I wanted to get your opinions. So I was super envious of my family members that got in the ground floor when TiVO original offered that (what I thought was insanely expensive) lifetime subscription. Well, after concluding that I really wouldn't mind having a TiVO for myself - they stopped offering that the lifetime and only offered the monthly (sigh). I know that cable/satellite companies now offer DVR services, but I really don't want to pay an extra montly fee on top of the service. I was actually considering buying one off of eBay. Well, TiVO is now offering another lifetime subscription deal. Here's the details: For a limited time, get the best high-definition experience with dual high-definition tuners, massive capacity, plus TiVo

    Website Design

If you plan on taking PayPal as your primary means of e-commerce, then I would say to get you site up using their shopping cart stuff until you decide to move on from that. It's free, and it's very easy to use. Here's a classic example of a really basic website using a simple PayPal shopping cart. http://ajautoproducts.com

Ah ... so many things to consider. Five - How much would the processor alone run for that setup? or maybe the questions I should be asking is what would be the most minimal processor can be used? I would love to have a quad core. But for now, I'll settle for the duo in my monster box ... since the most heavy stuff I usually do is website ... which don't require a whole lot of anything besides time and patience.

mini-hi jack. Is colorplast cheaper than banner material?
  15. I originally wanted to do a simple and clean business card, but since I specifically chose a business name that allowed me to expand my products and services offered, I thought I would just detail some of the services that I offer ... that way I don't need to field phone calls ... not that my phone is ringing off the hook Since I printed those business cards, my business has expanded in directions I never thought I would - which is a great thing. But if I had my way, I would definitely go with clean and simple ... It just shows how much I like to be on the phone.

    HD TiVO w/Lifetime Subscription

That's what I figured. When I finally decided that I wanted a TiVO, lifetime subscriptions were a thing of the past, so I got really excited when I saw that they were offering it again ... albeit in a really expensive package .
  18. I'm just thinking that you can do what I did ... create a business card that provides more detail than the standard name, address, phone number. If you could do something like: Customized / Personalized Decals Small Jobs & Large Jobs Professional Installation Available For Cars, Boats, Rigs, Trailers, and more...

    can anyone help me?

are you putting vinyl on almost the entire side, or is it just the top portion? The track for the sliding door is huge, but the vertical gap doesn't look that bad. Personally, when I see vans like that with text going across the top portion (not touching the door track), I prefer that the vinyl be applied to the closed door, and then slit at the gap without moving the left or right side so that there is no vinyl in the gap. I don't know if I explained that well, but my point is that the eye tends to be accustomed to the way letters look, and if you slit then move, then the letters that needed to be cut then become a little elongated and it looks a bit goofy to me. I like to keep the fonts looking consistent, slit or not. I hope I didn't confuse you .. I think I'm a little confused myself
  20. I don't know if you actually wanted to see a business card or not, but I thought I would share mine if that's what you're actually for too. Don't mind the quality of the scan, I just used my junk scanner to do it (since that's the one that's always on). The image is a little washed out. It's an old logo that I no longer use, but since I order like 1,000 of them, I'm going to keep on handing them out until their gone - then I'll order the new ones with the new logo... not mention that I can now add custom decals. WooHoo!!
  21. I think that most will just lay the vinyl over the rivets. There's a special tool that you can use to help you with that, although I suspect there might be a homemade workaround for that. You can always contract that job out. Good luck.
  22. to the forum! The LP blades are compatible with Roland, but I'm unsure about the blade holder. You can try contacting Ken (Imes) or Marcus. They're usually pretty good about reviewing all the stuff happening on the forum. You'll either get a response to this particular thread, or Ken might send you a PM. Happy Cutting - when you get your replacement parts

    Should I give Negative Feedback?

I wonder if it's possible for you to take it to the dispute console on eBay. I understand that there are all kinds of rule and stipulations in eBay to attempt to protect both buyer and seller, but Joe's beef is more than valid. He contacted the seller in advance because he lives outside of the "lower 48," "continental US," "contiguous US" or "US". The seller had the option to decline shipping to PR all together, but chose to respond ensuring what the cost for shipping would be should the buyer be from PR. I view it this way: Winning an eBay auction is a legal and binding contract (just like their website says). The only exceptions to the rules that have been clearly laid out, is if there has been communication between the seller and buyer PRIOR to the closing of the auction. The written communication is like a legal amendment to the particular stipulation that the seller outlined within the content of that particular auction. So in Joe's case, it was the seller that breached the contract. To add insult to injury the seller did not even make a good faith effort to contact Joe prior to rejecting the payment. It doesn't matter whether or not the seller was aware that the funds would be in PayPal purgatory for a week - the seller is wrong in this situation. eBay should be willing to intervene in this issue to make things right. I know that they have millions of sellers and buyers, but the system only works if people abide by the rules - buyers and sellers. Unfortunately eBay is not a perfect auction environment. I personally wish that there was an equal alternative to eBay. I was (indefinitely) banned from eBay last year for reasons that were completely out of my control and was none of my doing - it's a long story. Let's pool together as a forum and create out own version of eBay!!!!

    HD TiVO w/Lifetime Subscription

Unfortunately the TiVO isn't packaged with any cable subscription (I wish). It's for TiVO only and I would need to get a cable card from my local cable guys if I wanted to use the TiVO as the tuner too. TiVO's website says "Does not support satellite service". Which I guess means that if I subscribe to Dish or Direct TV, then the TiVO is useless as a tuner, but I'm guessing that I can still use the DVR side, right? I dunno, setting up a HTPC would be great, but I don't think I could realistically put one together for under $700 here. Getting stuff shipped here is a huge expense and difficult to get stuff here for a reasonable price. :-
