  1. Happy as a pig in a mud hole! I got it going today and for the first time since I've had it, it cut what I asked for, a couple diffrent times. Thanks for the advice. Thom
  2. I got the new software and put it on a diffrent PC I'll try that. I'll post what happens. Thanks Thom
  3. Sorry, I'm using Sign Blazer. I did seek help when i first got it and was directed to the setup page to set the cutting size correction where you ask for a certain size cut it and enter the actual size. It has never worked for me since i got it and i just got frustrated with it and lost intrest. Thanks for responding Thom
  4. >:(I've had this cutter for 2 years or so and I've wasted more vinyl than I've used productively. I go to set up and ask it to cut a certain size like 1 inch square then measure and put the actual size in the box and that seems to work. Now when i want to cut something say 8 inches then it's wrong size again. I can measure that and adjust the numbers in the setup to the actual what it cut and do it again and get pretty close. You can see where I'm going with this it's pretty wasteful. The only thing I've been successful doing is lettering where the size isn't critical, anything else is unusable. Its been a pretty good clothes rack but it takes up alot of room for that. If i can't get it to work it's got to go cause it upsets me so much when i try to use it. Any help would be appreciated. Thom
  5. I havn;t used my cutter for a long time due to some computer problems. Now I'm trying to remember how it works. I cannot get the size to come out right, even after trying the things i found on the board. I have Pcut with Sign Blazer software. I set the size correction expected 1" and get about 1.4". When i set the size correction to that it works fine for 1", but if i go to 3" it is off again. 3" square cuts about 3.4 Can anyone tell me what I'm overlooking here? Thanks Thom
  6. I changed it to 3.94 and it's doing alot better. I havn't had much time lately to try it out good but I do understand what your saying about expected size and actual size. I'll set it that way next time i use it. Thank you guys very much you've been a great help Thom
  7. Sorry about that, i'm using Sign Blazer. I'm setting the font size to 4 inches and what i'm getting is about 2.5 to 3. I tried going to 5 inches and it just cut the same it done the first time. Then i used a flame and set it to 12 by 30 inches. What i got was about 8 by 30. It was distorted like it done the length but not the height. Hope this helps Thom
  8. :why:I'm not sure if my question is with the cutter or the software. When I go to put text it asks to put the letter size. I set this and proceed to finish it and then when i cut it the cutter cuts it what ever size it wants. I've tried this three diffrent settings and always the cutter cuts the same. I've got the same problem with graphics, it cuts what it wants no matter what size i make it. Does this sound familiar to anyone. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Thom
  9. I think I got the COM port set wrong but when I try to change it in Sign Blazer the cutter setup won't let me change the port. That option isn't avalible it's grayed. I've been through the fourm and got some things to try or would I be better to uninstall it and start over?
