As soon as he emails it to me I will post it. Thanks for the help!

I have the Copam 2500 and love it. It was easy to set up, I am using the LPT1 cable though. It cuts like a dream and is built rock solid. I dont have any other cutter to compare it to but I wanted a best bang for your buck cutter and from all my research, this fit the bill. Also, the service and help is second to none here, good stuff!

My smallest Vinyl decals: I've been toying around (literally)

Yep, mine is a Dark Impact. As for the Monkey, I just laugh when I see those comments. -
Thats great Fivestar! How did you do that? Thanks!

I have a guy interested in having some stickers made for a church group. He already had the design made and he gave it to me on a disc. I thought, "Oh great, no problem. Let me cut you a sample and see how you like it". The easy stopped there. I took the image off the disc and opened it with Adobe Illus., font warning pops up. I dont have the correct fonts, it is broken apart in SB also. Could someone try and make this cuttable? I plan on doing the 2 colors red and black. Thanks! HOPLogo2.eps HOPLogo2.eps

looking to purchase a heat press!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zal replied to godstrong1's topic in General Help
You can count me in for a heat press in the near future. I have had people asking if I can make t-shirts and the like! -
Thats some nice work Ryne, I have been making some simpler decals for folks at work and have had one comment on the price. Thats a lot of work for 5 bucks a decal.
-
I use the "half the width of a credit card" rule and though I am relatively new also, have had no problems.

Woohoo! I got it! Took a lot of vinyl for a lil 6" decal and 2 hours, but I know the process now! Thanks Bruce! The funny thing is , I am a Bears fan. Go figure!

I have a decal with 3 colors, I am trying to make it work in Signblazer but it is coming up with the outline and the whole image colored in black. It is an .eps file from Illustrator. If I hover my pointer over it I can see the 3 objects within the image. Is there something I am not doing right? Maybe a setting to see all 3 layers? Thanks!

So I cut a circle ( my registration mark) with each layer, the only problem is it acts like a new tile and wont put it in the corner. So I rehomed my cutter after each cut thinking I got it, nope. Now it is putting it at x0 y0 with that layer so it still wont line up. How do you keep that circle in the same spot so you can use it as an origin?

I dont know if this has been asked before. I have a buddy who wants a decal of a quad at least 2 foot by 2 foot. I dont want to buy new stock for just this one decal so is there a way to cut the graphic in half and cut 2 pieces to reassemble? Thanks!
-
Great, thanks for the info Bruce. I will try it tonight. Does SB cut registartion marks to line up the colors?
-
Great strat Ryne, now I just have to learn how to put registartion marks on the cutouts as to line them up properly.

I am wanting to make some 2 or 3 color decals and wonder if Illustrator can vectorize in color. I will have to try and learn that
-
Can Inkscape Vectorize in color? If so how? Thanks for the help guys!

I made this logo for my mom, she is a seamstress so I tried to get a "playful" look to it. The Nstchs is a bit off center, no matter, it will be centered after I put it on her SUV. This was a practice run for me, it took more work than I thought. How much would you guys charge for a large advertising decal like this? For designing, cutting and mounting. The graphic is roughly 16" x 24". Thanks!
-
I am not going to charge my mom anything either. I had a lady at work inquire about a similar decal, so I had no clue what to charge, I told her I would get back to her with a quote. Thanks for the input Stormy.

....this thing is built like a tank! I can't believe how well it is built, the stand is built from 10-12ga steel, a bit overkill but I will take it! From opening the box, building the stand and hooking it up to my computer only about an hour passed. I didnt have any vinyl so I stuck a sharpie in the blade holder and started "drawing" on sheets of printer paper. I dont know much of anything on cutters but I have set up similiar machines in the past at work and I can say this was a very easy set up. Thanks US Cutter!

I will attach 2 images I thought where vectorized. I tried to cut them with SignBlazer and a black box comes up. I used a few other vector images on this board and they cut fine. Can someone check the files out to see if I vectorized correctly? Thanks! CHI_364.ai Opeth-logo-dark.ai CHI_364.ai Opeth-logo-dark.ai
