Vinyl Crinkling Up
CoopDawg replied to CoopDawg's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I have the creation pcut with the rubber rollers. -
I havent used my cutter for a while and when I try to cut something the vinly crinkles up. I am afraid I left my rollers pressed down for a few months. Is this why it crinkles? Are the rollers replaceable? I couldnt find em for sale on the main site. Only the blades. thanks

using new blade holder
CoopDawg replied to CoopDawg's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Discussion
I guess I am dumb but I still cant figure it out. I cant find a pic with the blade installed in one. -
I bought one of those $50 blade holders off ebay that is supposed to be designed for the pcut cutter. It is supposed to be better than the oem one. I have been having a little trouble with the one that came with my cutter so I thought I would give this one a try. Anyone know how the blade is supposed to mount in it?

Is there a way to adjust how deep the blade cuts in the vinyl without loosening the blade and pushing it up or down? On my old cutter it seemed like there was a way to do it electronically. Its very hard to tweek this blade by hand.

I just saw x4 on ebay for like $100. Its the educational version. Would that be a better buy?

I am new to sign cutting. I have the creation p cut with signblazer software. I have cut a lot of text graphics but I want to get a good graphics program to convert some images to cut. There is a compusa going out of business near me and I can get a copy for $200. Is this a good deal? I need something for some designing but converting is the most important. thanks!

I have just recently got my pcut hooked up and I am trying to cut some text with it. I know I have the computer "talking" to the cutter because I was able to cut a tile from the cutting screen. Here is what I do: I start a new file and type some text in it. I click on cutter, and it dosent show anything in the preview area that shows what is about to cut. What is the problem?

I just recentely purchased a Pcut machine. I think I have everything installed, just waiting on my vinyl to get here so I can give it a shot. Couple of questions. Will everything work with vista? I have a new dell computer, my keyboard and mouse are both usb. Will this be a prob? Any help would be great.
