I design on my laptop, e-mail to myself, then cut on a dedicated machine. Can I install on two machines? Thanks, Tom

Ok,, years ago I saw a font and now can't find it,, it looks as if a monster or something clawed at the font,, (horizontally) I know this is an impossible question,, but maybe,,,, just maybe,,,, someone will know. Thanks, Tom

Do I have any hope of getting my SignBlazer 06 pro working? I need an easy way to do registration marks. Thanks, Tom

So how satisfied are you overall with color laser on vinyl? I am looking to get started,,, and if I can get away without investing thousands in a printer to start,, that would be a good thing. Thanks, Tom

Am I looking for a dye sub or something else? Thanks, Tom

Is a contour cutter also doing the printing? I don't "get" contour cutting. I am assuming the printing is done on a different machine,, but you know what happens when you assume. Thanks, Tom

So any inkjet will work? With standard inks? I would be concerned about the ink in outdoor applications. Or is the media, vinyl vs paper the key? Thanks, Tom

So what is required as far as a printer goes? Again,, I ASSUME it requires a special printer? I have google searched,, searched here,, and not finding any specifics. Thanks, Tom

OK,, I want to use my PCut to cut airbrush stencils,,, I figure inkjet photo paper would be a good stencil material,, yes or no? I have been experimenting,, don't know how far to push it, my latest attempt was 20 cut speed,, 225 pressure, with a 45deg blade, doesn't get it done yet,, but it is very close. I have 60deg blades ordered,, but don't have them yet. What are your thoughts,, should I increase pressure,, wait for the 60s, or use a different material. I have hand cut photo paper,, and they are reusable, but if I can cut with the PCut that is better for me. I have some thin cutting sheets that came from Bed Bath and beyond,, ( I think that is where the wife got them, but I don't want to ask yet,, 'cause she doesn't know they are "missing") I use repositionable adhesive to hold the material while it is being cut. Thanks, Tom

Oh,, just an update,, I WAS doing it incorrectly,, I dragged the two layers together,, and voila(sp) it cut correctly. Tom

I was given a graphic to cut out,, which is letters,, but as far as I know not a font. ( it was given to me as a .jpg) Anyway,, there is a "P" and an "O" that it doesn't cut the center out. Well it does cut it out but in a separate tile, How do I get it to cut it out all in one tile? Thanks, Tom
-
I think I may have just figured it out,, you drag the tiles on top of each other? I'll have to test cut tonight

I tried a search,, but struck out,, I know this HAS to been asked before,, but I have a Pcut I bought in 2005 or 2006,, As near as I can tell,, they use a Roland 2mm cutter? Also,, is there a down side to using a 60deg blade for everyday cutting,, I am a hobbyist, not a pro. Thanks, Tom
-
Well that's not quite what I was looking for,, but will do if I can't find the other. Thanks, Tom

THier posted a topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
OK,, So I had not used my plotter for a while,, and had a laptop failure,, so I replaced the laptop with a windows7 machine. When I look at Device manager there is a problem shown on my USB to Serial. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling still no go. When I try to send a job to cutter,, it says it failed to initionize. Thoughts? Thanks, Tom -

Ok,, Spent 3 hrs on the phone with Microsoft,, and Asus,, MS blamed it on Asus,, Asus blamed it on the driver,, so three hrs of my life wasted,, I am more leaning towards the Asus as being the problem. We tried to download drivers from Asus,, MS,, and still have the same thing. I am thinking this will be the last Asus machine I ever buy,,, The head phone port went bad shortly after I bought it,, (mechanical issue which won't let the speakers work) which I can live without,, I usually use head phones anyway,, but this issue kind of really ticks me off. THANKS, Tom -

OK talked to customer service Monday,, I had them all stumped as well,, seems the digital device signature is an issue,, not really sure if I want to disable it through the registry,,, hmmmmmmmm. Thanks for all the help though. I may have to do design on this machine, and take my portable laptop down to the plotter. Thanks, Tom -

There is only a USB cable inline. My understanding is there is some sort of USB to serial conversion going on internal in the machine.
