Printable 3M vinyl - DuraBrite Inks

    Thought this might help
  2. I'm looking for the right setup to print custom designs for a small business for iPhone, iPod, iPads and other devices...etc. I cannot afford a wide-format solvent/eco-solvent printer neither do i need one because the maximum size i will be printing would be A3. I need the vinyl to be Water-Based for Pigment Ink (will be using with the Epson 1400). I was wondering, after printing on the vinyl do i laminate it using a cold-laminator machine? I was thinking of using the 3M Scotchcal Overlaminate Matte or Gloss? Is this laminate adhesive on the bottom? Moreover, What is the quality of the color like? and how long would it last? (I will be using a UV protective laminate over the water-based vinyl). Don't forget this is not for vehicles, it's for gadgets. Please suggest what type of vinyl and laminate would work fine with this? P.S. i'm going to need the vinyl to be as thin as possible with adhesion and the laminate. (no more than 4.5-5mil?) I was thinking of using the Papilio Water-Based InkJet waterproof removable white vinyl? But i don't know about the quality of it or whether or not it will stick for long? When removed will it leave residue? I do believe Oracale is a good company too, do they have any Water-Based Pigment Ink vinyls? what about Avery? i heard Avery is the worst brand when it comes to vinyls? (Not too sure about this). And then there's MacTAC, Imagestixx, Arlon? Do these brands also produce Water-Based Vinyls? Please let me know, i'm fairly new to this business.
