    Vinylmaster Cut adding weed lines

I have checked Graphtec’s web site and was a little confused about what I could use without a firmware update, which I have learned from you is a no-no!

    Vinylmaster Cut adding weed lines

Is Cutting Master 3 a free upgrade? Being so new I don’t want to screw up a working software solution in Corel with CM2. The only reason I’m looking at VM is for the ease of adding additional cut lines. The VM instructional video shows exactly what I want to accomplish at a price I can handle ($60). I also like that there seems to be a lot of VM support on this forum.

Maybe I downloaded an older demo?

Thank you. Yes, I found the external weed boxes, but I would like to be able to add internal lines inside complex graphics that are relatively small.
  7. Newbie. Bought a used Graphtec CE5000-60. Have the Graphtec Cutting Master 2 running through Corel Draw and I can cut just fine. Weeding is another issue, I would like to add weed lines but the software doesn’t have that feature. I’m looking at Vinylmaster Cut and downloaded the demo. According to the comparison charts It has the same weeding options as the upgraded versions. I’ve looked at the Vinylmaster video on weed boxes and the screens that I can find are nothing like the ones in the video where they show how to add weed lines. What am we missing here?

    How to check used Graphtec

Thanks to all who helped me on this topic. After 9 hours of driving , I am now the proud owner of a used Graphtec CE5000. I bought it from Vinyl Motivations. Earlier, at my request, he sent videos of the cutter operating; I saw it working again yesterday and had him cut full width so I could see how smooth the machine cut. The unit looks like new and came with a very nice hand crafted basket, a cover and extra blades and push rollers. He also provided a decent older Dell laptop loaded with all the updated Graphtec software. Today I reasssemble and start learning software!

    Which Oracal red and blue?

I’ll be looking at a Graphtec CE5000 that VinylMotivations has for sale. Finding a day when it fits his schedule has been difficult and it’s an 8 hour round trip for me. I’m going by what I keep seeing on the forum, that it is better to get a used Graphtec than a new Chinese cutter.

    Which Oracal red and blue?

While searching the forum, I've see that black, white, red and blue are the most popular colors that people sell. Which Oracal numbers do you use for red and blue?

    Installing art straight

Newbie. In your experience is a decal easier to install for the customer if it has a border incorporated in the design, OR, is a less defined edge more forgiving of “crooked” installation?
  13. I'm still interested in Graphtec cutters. I have been studying cutting software like crazy and am wondering about the following scenario: I can partition my Mac hard drive with "Boot Camp" which prepares the drive for a Windows install. I can get a new Windows Home Version for $140, then if I get Vinyl Master Cut for $60, will I be good to go on a Graphtec? I don't need design software, have a program I've been using for 35 years (Canvas X Draw), which can export svg, PDF and dfx. I'm still thinking about a Titan 2 if I can't find a decent Graphtec at the right price, so I would appreciate any comments on that as well.

    How to check used Graphtec

Even though I put the brakes on the FC7000, I'm still interested in Graphtec. How old are CE5000 and CE6000 machines. Any concerns about either because of age?
