  1. I was using my cutter (USCutter 871-mk2) about 2 weeks ago and it hung up on the edge of the vinyl. It was the end of the project so I cut it off and used what I had. This past week I tried cutting something and it didn't cut at all, no scoring on vinyl. I realized that the rollers were off track and I got them back on track. Now, when I run the test cut (star) I'm not getting anything (smooth vinyl) no matter how long the blade is set. Any help would be appreciated.

    Grounding without a Stand

My sheets right now are the ones that come in the starter kit approx 30”. But most of my stuff is only 6” x 6”or so. Maybe in the future something larger but for right now its small. Thank you for the insight.
  4. I watched a video that said adjust the cutspeed to 300mms and cutpress to 100. After i did that and ran a test all was good.
  5. Thank you for letting me know!
  6. Hi. I received my MH-871 approximately two weeks ago, I did purchase a stand, but decided to just place it on a desk. Is there a way that I can ground my cutter without the stand being assembled and set up if at all possible. It sits right next to a small dorm type fridge and I was wondering if I could use something on that to ground the cutter or after pulling out the fridge to look behind it I saw an old cable connection and wondered if I could ground it to the screw going into the wall.
  7. Sorry I didn't get back to my post. I thought I had it set up that when someone answered it would come to my email but I guess I didn't have it set correctly so I thought no one had answered. Sorry for my confusion. I did get it solved by watching some USCutter videos. I do have roller marks but I'm trying to adjust them now. Thank you to each and everyone of you who took the time to read and/or answer.
  8. Hello, I'm new to the group and very new to vinyl cutting - (I know nothing). I purchased a MH-871 and I'm in the process of setting it up. My cutter is sitting on a table even though I did buy the stand. I've had a lot of ah ha moments but can't figure this one out. I cut off a large piece of vinyl for testing from the starter kit that was provided, adjusted and locked the pinch rollers according to the manual, loaded the cutter blade, and tried a test run. The middle roller seems to be scrunching up the vinyl. Am I loading the vinyl correctly. If you are not using the stand how are others positioning their vinyl rolls for proper feeding into the cutter. The cutting speed and cut press is what shows up after I hit the test button. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and reply.
