I have two copam cutters. My older one leaves the cut graphic handing out of the front of the machine (which is great). My new machine returns to the original point. I figure there must be a setting to change the origin point, but for the live of me I cannot find it. Your help is appreciated. Thanks Jason

Ready to pull my hair out!! HELP
Jason50 replied to pianomom's topic in Copam Cutting Plotter Support Requests
well my only other suggestion would be add more RAM. other than that i have never seen this before. good luck -
here is a brief sample, poor quality pics but it will help a bit on such short notice.

type text right click and convert to curves right click again and break curve apart everything turn black... select the items you want to "weld" choose "quick weld" option on the tool bar. if you do not have the "quick weld" option on the tool bar then you will have to fish around a bit to find the option. also, if your text includes an AQRDBOP (basically any letter with an oval in it) you will have to remove these "interior oval" prior to "welding" if you do not you will also eliminate those line too. i recommend setting the view to "wire frame" this way one can see all the lines. it's really simple once you run through the steps a time or two. good luck good luck

Ready to pull my hair out!! HELP
Jason50 replied to pianomom's topic in Copam Cutting Plotter Support Requests
is your copam conected DIRECTLY to your pc? are there any other printers, scanners, faxes, etc... connected to the same PC. if so disconnect any additional device and connect the copam directly with the provided cable. you'll get through this one. hopefully minor problem. -
diddo on the wet appy with the plastic stuff. wait and wait and wait some more... i would consider what type of enviroment the appy tape is in... is the area damp or humid??? if so that may be the culprit. I have use some of the most inexpensive tape offered and had great results with it. actually when i order tape i buy the cheapest stuff i can find, but i keep it in a climate controlled room. the vendor whom you buy from should also keep the product in a climate controlled room to get the full life from the appy tape. good luck.

oh yes very common my copam has done it once... my graphtec actually has a safe guard that lockes the unit up. just keep unspooling and you'll be fine.

being a novice you probably do not want the low down on all the paints and primers one could apply to the wall to keep it looking great for the long hall... so the best info i can give is to lay the vinyl onto the wall like normal, but only apply pressure where pressure is needed... JUST APPLY PRESSURE WHERE THE VINYL IS. i would stay clear of any type of wet install as it would most likely damage the ???drywall??? included is a wall i done about 4 years ago and it still looks great using the above mentioned tips. good luck.http://users.multipro.com/signs/new_pa3.jpg also district is spelled wrong in the pic hehehhe
