  1. Good evening, guys and gals.  I own 3 US Cutter plotters.  All are down  for one reason Or another.

I just purchased my 4th one that is arriving tomorrow.

I really need to fix at least one of these so I don't have to buy a 5th one when the 4th one goes out.

Can anyone who reads this, look the machines over and maybe give me an idea on what I can do?

Note:  I've been all over You-tube but no answers that seem to fit.

    Here we go:

PLOTTER #1:   MH871 MK2  34-INCH About 1 year old.  Working order but cuts random extra lines.  Meaning, it appears to cut into the vinyl wherever it travels to ...  The blade should rise above the vinyl when it is moving between cut lines.    I've changed blades I've adjusted speed, blade,  many cut pressure in increments of 10-grams up to 300 grams.  pressure.

PLOTTER #2:  MH871 MK2  34-INCH.   about 1 year old.  The carriage/Cutting mechanism makes really screeching sounds when I turn it on.  I manually move the mechanism to various points then turn the machine on.  it goes back to the original point.  When I turn it on to cut ... the screeching sounds r-occur.   The cutting unit is clearly positioned properly on the track.

PLOTTER #3.   SC-631  28-INCH PLOTTER.   About 2 years old.  All of a sudden the blade unit changed its height.  In other words.  When it went back to far  right, the blade touched the base of the cutting part.  The vinyl could not get under the knife blade.  What worked was, we moved the origin position to the left about 6-inches and it cut fine.  for a few days.  Then this past Friday, I smelled something electrical and it was this plotter.  I don't know what is now the problem.  If I were to replace the motor, that does not fix the other problem (which I described above)  knife blade decides to touch the cutting mat.

Thank you for anything (including suggestions) that can be offered.

None of these issues sound like simple ones that are easy to solve over text posts or on the forum. It's possible that each of the machines has a failing part that needs to be replaced. I would recommend calling the USCutter support line for troubleshooting when you can be in front of the cutter. We are open from 7:30 AM to 4 PM PST, and are closed for lunch between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. When you call, having your USCutter account or order numbers pulled up for those machines would make it easier to help you more quickly. We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully we can help you resolve those issues you are having with those machines.
