JoeCamaro replied to JoeCamaro's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Ok, thanx. I was thinking about $1.50 as they are for a great friend of mine. -
Anybody here can talk to you about vinyl cutting. You can post your question or search Welcome!

MH 721 Cutting crooked?
JoeCamaro replied to insanevinyls's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
Might not be this, but anyways: make sure your carriage is in track. If you see 2 white wheels outside the track, you have to push the carriage up and back to make sure the wheels go in. -
"Hard" vinyl does that if you roll it too tight. By hard I mean specialty vinyl like chrome, carbon fiber and so. I had that experience. Also happens to cheap vinyl.

What's usual price for banners??

Actually, for some reason they are cheaper in PR. I realize now that I live here in the States. -
Advertising Online: Who does it?
JoeCamaro posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Hello! Lately I have been thinking a lot about advertising online. Paying a few ads here and there. Unlike most of you, I don't have a service company, but a product company. Let me explain myself. I use my cutter and abilities to design and sell my products. I enjoy spending 15 minutes designing an original artwork and selling hundreds of decals of it or designing shirts and selling them under my label rather than having people asking me for signs and stuff. I mean, I do them, but it is not my primary business. I recently found a niche market that is it not being "serviced" properly. By this I mean there are few (if any) people doing decals for that niche so I jumped in. I have been studying the market and learning new things so I can dsign for them. In my quest I found a forum about that niche that has 31,000 members. I am considering paying an ad there. it is only $25 for a month. What do you guys think? Have any of you advertised in a forum? How did it go? I have been thinking about advertising. Going directly to the people I am targeting, you know? I can not let my sites run on auto-pilot, I need to bring people in. The real reason Im posting this is to maybe help some of you go out there and advertise. I have seen some nice sites from some members and I think you should also promote. Sometimes we want everything for free or for really cheap. Posting our sites here won't help much, as we all do the same thing. Im hoping to hear some stories on those of you that advertise online, how do you choose were to do it and how does it work for you. Thank you! Joe -

Cool, I'll check that out! -
I recently vectorized an image in exchange of light blue vinyl with member Print Star. If here was a feedback setion I would write: "Great to deal with, awesome communication, ultra fast shipping. Well packed and product in perfect condition". So, if I recommend him for business
-
Do you have a better pic? The sun is behind him and details don't show good.
-
Totally agree
-
I would sell decals and signs. The thing is that it is a general muscle car show, not by brand, so you would need a huge variety of designs.
-
Nope! All dry and no bubbles You da man! Good job
-
Good work! Did you use the wet application method?
-
Sa-weet! Awesome! That looks just great!

All I can say is: You are hooked on Vinyl! Addictive, huh? Thanx for sharing

Im so excited as tomorrow I will be going to the Kennedy Space Center to watch the Launch of the Atlantis Shuttle! Woohoo! I always wanted to witness one of those. I can't wait! Anybody else going? Haha, this might be something normal for you, but not for me
-
This was the Atlantis' final flight, but there are only a few launches for 2010. Don't leave it for later, only a couple chances left!

Copied design on ebay... Arrrg!
JoeCamaro posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Ok, I designed a decal and put it up for sale on ebay. I used a stock vector, but I modified it, replaced a few things and added others. Searching on ebay I found another seller with the same design. Ok we both might have though in a similar way, thats cool, but what I found hard to believe is that he made the same mods and alterations I did and that it ended looking exactly like mine. Should I tell him something? What would you do? Joe -
Oh, I know you were just trying to help. I was addressing to the poster, not you. My bad if I wasn't clear.

I know it's all been said...but i'm swimming in alligators! Gotta sec to help?

"The only complaint i have is the MH is very noisy." For me, that's the sound of money! -
I mean, it is not nice to copy stuff, but it you will, then at least tweak it a little. Change the font at least.
-
Well, that is just text. Why don't you make your own version of it. That is somebody else's work and that is just not nice. You could try writing it your own way.
