i see most of the sign blazer down load links no longer exist. does anyone have a version that works with no nag screens. if so can you post a link. i tried looking at all the previous links.

if i buy a full version of sign lab will it expire? i don,t like the idea of the subscription based systems. but for 500 bucks i don't want to have to pay that again if it goes stale in a year also whats best to use. tried sign blazer. great program but does not seem to import many different type of files.newbie here graphtec 7000-75

i was using sign blazer. i found it hard to vectorize the objects. but it was said above i should do that in inkscape . makes sense. i was having trouble bringing those files into sign blazer. its import options are limited. i have down loaded sign labs free trial it seems really god but 500 bucks. i am undecided on that option. mz skeeter is correct that my machine will not work with the newer cutter software offered by graphtec. i cant even get my windows ten machine to upload the new drivers to the cutter. it wont send it. so sign lab works pretty good so far. but i might try to use inkscape more and see if i can FIX the clip art that way and see if it will go into sign blazer. i mean it has to work because darcshadow said so. i got a lot to learn. thank you all for your kindness and helpful responses. mighty big of everyone to take the time to help. i cant stress it enough.

ok that very helpful. i will try that. i was getting images off the net and saving them then tring to load them into sign blazer. i could not do most of them howerver sign lab can...but its five hundred bucks lol

I just bought a fc 7000-75. Seems like a very well built unit. But it’s now 2019 and I am worried it may be obsolete. I can’t seem to make it work. I was using Inkscape i am not against buying a good design software. But I just want to make sure it will work. I joined this form because in my searches I saw a fellow named skeeter who has this unit and seems very helpful and knowledgeable can I just set the machine to hpgl and rock and roll with all the new software out there or what’s the best way to go about setting this thing up. I tried for hours and I can’t do it. Thanks guys.

i have installed the controller...it works but wont run the cut off function...when i try it starts to run back and forth like crazy then says cut off error. i have tried to install the firmware but it wont run the set up exe file correctly. it is supposed to pull up a menu to choose the firmware file but it opens a printer like page. the file is not there to send to the plotter/cutter i am slowly getting there folks thanks once again

i have avast anti virus... it says its blocking the site because its on a black list? wth?

i get the screen now but signblazer is not listed

i have figured out the blade depth and pressure i got it cutting good now. thanks for your help. i will try to figure out the cross cutter. the graphtec america site has a cutting program that will not work on my machine i tried. its for a mk version that wont communicate when i try.

thank you very much for the information and your patience. this has been all very helpful i have been getting it to work sort of but many weird things keep happening. i am working thru it and learning a ton as i go, ill let you great people know if i have any more troubles. i am reading everything i can. its alot. seems my older cutter is somewhat unsupported but work in hpgl mode. i would like to get it to work in g mode but i cant figure it out at this time. would be neat to use the cross cutter for when the job is finished.

The blade force is set at 11. Should the blade holder when cutting have a two mill gap between the media and the very bottom of the blade holder? I think no but I am not sure. I thought there was supposed to be like a thickness of a piece of paper on the gap. When it’s cutting

I did do the reset it didn’t fix it. But the computer is still hooked up. Next is tonun hook the USB.

I have sign blazer open. Was messing with the settings on the machine itself the Graphtec Studio will not link with my machine. It says it’s for the mk2 jobbie and mine is the older fc 7000-75 cutting pro. No mk2. On graphtecs website they list the software as separate for the two machines. I tried it any way for spits and shiggles but it would not link up. I am going to try the reset that you mentioned when it cut real nice it was doing it from cut master 2 software. But only that “ cutting pro” word was cut out. I weeded it and it looked mint. Blade did not go to far but cut out perfect machine was smooth quite and fast. After I loaded the software today to cut from sign blazer it was doing what my other cutter did. Just cutting random stuff and running up the roll in a straight line. So I changed the setting to hp-gl. Then it was moving around the media and going thru the motions. I felt it was taking the proper paths needed. But I could see the knife was no longer dropping down far enough into the media.

mine doesn't have the dual ring to locate it in two spots thou... i did see that in the manual. it said that was a option for a two pen system....i dont have it. i did position the holder properly thou. thank you for the pictures. it was good from the start. i did take it out later and replace it like that. very similar to my ce 5000-60

ya that part i am certain...it has to be settings because i changed something and messed it up. it was cutting so nice when i did the test it cut out the word cutting pro mint. but now refuses to bring down the cutting blade holder to the media. i can see a decent gap between the holder and the media. and i can see the little blade wiping out and turning back and forth not cutting. leaves not even a scratch. its crazy. i just got a cue tip and cleaned the area where the machine moves the arm up and down. it had some minor crap in there but after i ran it again same problem

wild great information my experience here in canada is everything we have we get from the usa or is styled for both we are like a extra state our whole country population is equal to your california. i am 50 years old all of our stuff basically conforms to usa standards. the uk and Europe is a different animal i went thru the blade setting procedure and it still doesnt work...hmmm

yes thats true. the power is different but canada and the usa share most things. theres not a lot of differnce in these two countries...we are so small population wise that we just follow you guys with 99% of everything.
