Yao posted a topic in SublimationSorry if this is a dumb question, I’m new to understanding the sublimation process. I’m wondering what, if anything, is different about the enamel mug sublimation blanks (typically marketed as such and sold in bulk on sites such as UScutter) vs. other blank mugs (sold in retail stores)? Is there something different about the enamel surface treatment in manufacturing that makes them more ideal for receiving sublimation inks? Or is it just referring to the fact that the mugs are blank and free of imagery? For example - If I buy an enamel mug from a retail store with no design that is not called out to be a sublimation blank, can it receive sublimation ink in a press just the same as the blanks? What is special about the blanks? Thanks in advance in helping me understand.
