Trying to get this all figured out

So do you sub out to get the transfers or do you do them yourself? I was looking at a few places to do that in case I get a large order at one point as I do not have room yet to do it. But as soon as my son and daughter-in-law move out I will have 2 rooms for all my equipment.

How do you go about marketing yourself in your area? I have been handing out cards and doing social media for right now.

Well heck I can make one of those from the old rollers from the conveyor lines I got from work! The room though is a different story...lol! I have all my metal working, wood working, and electronics bench in the garage so I don't have much room if any.

Trying to get this all figured out

It is pretty common here that they will do it. I even had it done a few times because I did not have the time to do it myself. Yes, I agree about the risk and let them know beforehand. I am taking the tips here and considering them. I very well may change my thoughts. I don't have my stock of shirts at the moment so if they bring some then it is a quicker turnaround time is what my thought is. I see what you are saying though.

Yes I would and have a labor charge plus shop supplies. I would be turning away potential customers and profit if not.

    Hanging/freezing

Yea I got it for saving now but the import is not working still. I found that it is a ghost monitor that just showed up. I had disconnected the 3rd monitor and removed it but somehow it came back and I never knew it. So I have to go into the settings and kill that other monitor again. Funny that I might have skipped over that post as it did not show in search. I even went back to 2016!

    Hanging/freezing

To start off with I have tried rebooting and reinstalling along with trying different compatibility modes. I am using Win10 Pro and VM Cut. I have a support ticket but want to see if anyone else has had this issue. This is a new install. When I try to save or import it acts like it is hanging. No other box pops up, is it acting like it does but I do not see one. I have to force close it but there is another screen behind it that I also have to force close that is almost like the main screen. I can do everything but import and save so far. Anyone else have this issue? I have also tried the demo of all of them but they do the same thing.

    USCutter PSN VinylMaster Update

Best bet is to go here and either call or file a support ticket: https://www.uscutter.com/index/page/static/subpage/contact_us I am having issues with saving so that is what I did. They are quick to respond.
  12. Also see how far the nearest competitor is. I already have 2 more clients because they do not want to drive 23 miles away to pick up/have product installed. They are a bit cheaper but i am closer, more convenient, lead time is shorter, and I don't even have my equipment here yet(will be delivered tomorrow)! LOL People are willing to pay for convenience, speed, and in most cases quality. It is all how you market yourself and never ever bash another business as some clients will see that as a turn off. I know that from an IT business I ran and had a competitor bad mouth me because of my prices, they went out of business, I did not until I sold it and moved.

So i have been using an OOOOLLLLDDDDD Cricut "baby Bug"6x12, the very first one they started making and I am still able to use it with SCAL. I have been making a few decals for people and want to step up a bit as I see a growth/extra income opportunity. I want to start doing T-Shirts so that mean I will also need to get a heat press and I will also want to do contour cutting for full color decals/stickers. Mugs and stuff will come later when i get going good, I do work a full time job that I cannot leave yet. Anyway, I am wanting to do Dri-Fit shirts but that might have to be down the road from what I have been researching but I think I might have a good start with the running groups my wife is in. I will also be selling at craft shows as I do with some of my woodworking and photography stuff. I have been looking at the Titan2, LP3, Titan 3, and others but can't seem to get the price where I want with what I want to do. I have been looking till my eyes feel like sand paper and have been up for about 30 hours so far this last session, with a total time of 2 weeks reading and watching videos every day/night. A little advice would be very much appreciated. The MABFW(Maximum Allowable Budget From Wife) is $1000 to get started. I have a small room to house this in along with 2 computers with 3 monitors each, A lazer printer, My reloading stuff, a portable AC, an electronic drum set(son's), and this is in a maybe 12x10 room? What can you suggest? Also does UScutter ever do free shipping?

Yea there was just sooooo much info I was reading and video that I had an overload. I figured might as well ask before I make a bad mistake. The first one I looked at was an ebay one, then a craigslist no name one, then an MH. I also spent a little bit and got some decent vinyl items and a ton of free samples so i can take a look at what I want to offer. Now I have to hunt for a good place to get shirts. I would like local but I don't see any near tampa that offer them at a good price. I was looking at getting the softer feel ones that are light weight because it gets too dang hot down here for a heavy cotton tee. I would like about 4 colors from s-2xl but to find that mix is a pain.

Well after talking to an acquaintance, I will be needing to cut a thin HTV reflective for shirts. He wants to see a sample of one and if he likes it he wants to order 50 of them, that would cover the cost of the machine already not to mention I am sure I can talk him into buying other shirts made with foil but not as big of an order. So the TITAN combo that you, haumana, posted is the one I am gonna get for now. Thank you everyone for the information! It helped a ton!

Oh I have read about the CCB and have that also! I was looking at what was posted, the 34" SC2 and the titan 28". I know I should get the best I can buy but looking at the Titan that Haumana posted and the SC2 that WG posted, I don't see that much difference except size and I can add an extra 1 year to the SC2 and still be less. I have the 15x15 swing arm and it looks about the same as the transfora. So it comes down to this now, Is the titan 28" worth the extra $70 over the SC2? I am thinking no because of the ability to cut larger if/when needed.

Thanks for the quick response! So would you recommend the SC2 over the LP3? This is what I had in my cart already The cutter is the 34" with stand:
