Thanks yall i played with the com port settings and changed it to direct it ended up being com 7 on my pc i just cut my first Decal.. Thanks so much

It connected and it said it downloaded the correct drivers it wouldn't do that w/o seeing it.. right, I tried looking on youtube but i cant find a video that shows the steps for making it cut its on auto com port. this is VM im trying to get to work. i think SCAL be easier but cant cut with it till buy it cause it cut lines in whatever your cutting. since its just the demo

Yeah, I ordered some from us Cutter. got 36 pounds of it coming lol. was surprised 10 rolls 24"X5' weigh that much. Along with few other things. Yeah, Im not sure. i still might get the lady a smaller cutter so she do her own thing so the 12" be good for her. most things i plan to make will be smaller then 12"x12" i think i might get some wanting bigger stuff guess i will buy bigger rolls Good tip about what to keep a eye on. I have loads of decals i want to make for my truck lol.

Well, Never asking anyone who was cutting decals for me what size rolls they were on there machines I really had no clue how big or small these would be, These are Oracal 751 12 inches wide and 6 foot long.. WOW there tiny. About 1.5 inch wide the whole roll... I was expecting bigger rolls. I am building a stand that will hang off my decal table i built. to keep them out of the way.. Im glad i didn't use any bigger of PVC pipe to make it used 3/4 any bigger the rolls wouldn't fit onto them. I will post a picture when i get it finished. I picked up the pipe today and have to cut everything tomorrow and hang it.. I also ordered some 24 inch. and its 5 foot long, i guess it wont be any of bigger rolls either, or maybe the wider it is the bigger the roll? Im not sure these tiny rolls will even fit on the SC2 cutter stand rolls that are suppose to hold it? I might have to make something to let it sit on.. Im sure this sounds silly to most but me being brand new to all of this.. I didn't order big long huge rolls cause not sure how much I will need or what colors will be popular i wanted to order more colors also at first but really didn't get to. Looks like for a 24" X 10yrd(30foot) is $44.99 i will end up ordering some later but just little of each for now.. How do most of you order vinyl? how much at a time? I don't want to end up with lots i don't use or doesn't ever need to be used.

yeah,, Not sure how mine will come the siser that is, only getting 2 feet so guess be a tiny roll. Does anyone else get there stuff Surepost from the shipper? I had to drive to the other town today to get this Vinyl cause it was surepost from UPS and it went to the wrong post office. i was suppose to get in mail today but was a huge mess. I just noticed Jiffy shirts also using Surepost sure hope it goes to the correct PO

That would work. they came with tape with written on them of what number and how long. maybe i can peel those and put on the inside.. I dont think these have cardboard rolls. look like just rolls around itself.

Thanks, trying to figure out what size wide and how much is something.. Most of the decals i have in mind for myself will be 12x12 inches or smaller. some might be longer but not as tall something like 3 inch tall by maybe 20 inches long. There is a few smaller shops around but they mostly seem to sell by the foot. the HTF doesn't seem to bad of price about same as online $3.50 a foot but the vinyl well they only sell 651

Thanks for the info about the rollers. and Yeah Kinda figured colors vary so much Nice rack but i have no more floor room Here is mine I couldn't wait.. I was going to cut the pipes down to 12 inch for the smaller rolls but then thought if i ordered only 24 wide for now on it be to short so i can fit two of the 12 inch on one slot.. i was going to hang it on my shelf above the desk but its kinda heavy the wife gave me this idea of hanging it the way i did it work.. Im going to add more T to it coming down to have more rows for more vinyl cause i have 10 more rolls on the way. How do you guys keep up with what vinyl is what number? like these are 751 others coming are 631 and 651 i plan to use the 651 on my truck and mailbox to see how long it stands up and only using the 751 for custermers

Yeah, I am going to, I already put on one of my FB posts that Im using good vinyl that will last i want my customers to have good stuff and not cheap.

This is my fear, They seem to be every day a new add on Facebook for people selling decals and or small signs, saying they can make anything.. But I just know there using oracal 651 and a small craft cutter. I hope I can get people to understand that Im using better Vinyl 751 and i can cut bigger stuff for them.

Very old post but looking at what kind of Inkjet transfer sheets to buy my dad used to use Hanes but looks like they no longer sell them.. i was thining about avery but someone said there not as good.

Thanks. that makes sense. just a thing have to play with a guess. ive got 631/651 bundle coming mostly to play around with stuff.. ive got some that brown wrap you use to wrap boxes for shipping if you want to hide whats on the box guess i cause it with the pen to see what it look like first.

okay, so just waiting for my cutter to get here and make my first cut but i was wondering.. The cutter only cuts on the outside of the letters right? like in this picture this is something a friend wants of her grandkids. when i weed it it look just like it does in this 1st picture right. it wont have the cut outs on the inside of the feet or letters like in 2nd pic witch is a preview of it when you click preview. i guess im asking the letters will be full like in first pic right... i don't wasn't just a outline of everything i want them to be full I hope that makes sense?

So on the ones you don't weld does it still cut bold /full ( sorry i don't know the correct word for this) and or do you Union it? or is union the same thing? Cause i don't see a difference between the two Im sure there is a difference and if i was cutting im sure i would see what it is.

So a member here told me about jiffyshirts so i went and looked and there prices sure beats my local walmarts, i signed up but it asks if im going to be selling the shirts, then i went to order and it asked am i going to make a profit with them, or decorate for fun or other.. why do they ask this? if you said your making a profit from them do they keep up with that and send it to the Tax people or something? I just checked Going to give as a gift cause that's the truth i only ordered 5 shirts today and plan on making shirts for my woman's family as B day presents. just thought that was wierd it asked that. So i have been using the demo ( free download) of the SCAL 4 pro on my pc then i accidental downloaded the SCAL 4 reg on the better half's Pc. and besides the logos at start up and desktop icon i can't see a difference it seems they both will allow to do the same things, we saved thing she done on the 4 andi was able to read and change them on the 4 pro.. again both demo but wouldn't the full version of either work the same? Buying a cutter, and vinyl and tools i just don't have $200 to pay for the 4 Pro right now, maybe after i cut some and make some money i can upgrade later.. I'm getting VM with my SC cutter but not sure i will like it at all i might learn more on it since im going to have it but i like SCAL better. so far. I just ordered my SC cutter and more vinyl and a couple feet of HTV to try making a t shirt. going to cut a few things on vinyl first to make sure my blade is set and the force and all guess need to read the manual and see what it suggests for speed and force hope that's i the manual.. Im so Excited. ive already got 2 maybe 3 people that want a Decal for there automobiles. Thanks

Well i wouldnt think any would cut.. the SCAL will cut but it puts lines in whatever you cut, I understand that.. its fine just figured you be able to save things.

Thanks for your reply, surprised no one else has replied. i just wondered between the two the 4 and 4 pro is much difference. looks like they offer no discount to upgrading from 4 to pro its same price. I'm going to try out VM when i get the full version.. just bothers me i wasn't able to crate files and save them in VM with the demo.

yes the black bold 1st pic is my design i made on the pad all others was previews. this is how everything ive made looks so wanted make sure i was doing it right.. I will go back and weld everything i guess. Such small things changed i guess after clicking weld. i didn't notice that thanks. its 3x10 inches Oh alright, this image is 3inches x 10 inches
