  3. ok, searched youtube and came up with just selecting everything in SCAL and selecting the "wrapper" function under the "effects" tab. enter your diameter at the top of where your text will be, then the dia at the bottom, then the height of the taper....then all kinds of mystical stuff happens and it makes it curved at the right taper.
  4. There should be a calibration setting in the program. I had to do my Laserpoint in scal, made life easier.

Mac not updating enough for PC friends

Ps... never mind the two updates to iOS 11 on my phone and iPad Pro this month...I call “those don’t count” or A[?] call...
  7. Hey guys.... I’m torn, mostly based on cost and a bad roll of 5100 I got last shipment. I have a large job coming up in black reflective and they actually asked if I could use the Enduralite and I said that I hadn’t heard of it, much less used/cut it! 75% of my business is reflective so I’m curious. A 50 yard roll of 5100 is $470, the Enduralite 15x50 yard is $260... it’s gonna take 2 rolls so $500 vs $1000 is what I’m looking at... if it reflects as good and cuts as good I’ll do it, if not then I’ll pass and suggest 5100. What say ye?

I’m just kidding about wanting more updates
  9. Hey y’all, just wanted to see how many other amazon sellers we have on here and give a little advise and get a little if you don’t mind sharing. ived been selling on amazon since May this year. I started by checking an old business account and realizing I had been gettin g amazon affiliate money that I had forgotten about (nice $200 find around Christmas last year). I didn’t think anything of it unit one of my install videos went viral and I noticed I could sell the same kit I was linking to and make $15 profit instead of the 4-6% as an affiliate. I went from kits to decals in a tight and specific niche and now I’m making more in 4-5 hours a week as I am working as an installer 3 days a week (during the semester I work 3 days installing then go back to 50 hour weeks between semesters). I have steadily built my brand and under produced for q-4. I have learned most of this info from 2 podcasts, “The Amazing Seller” and “ silent sales machine radio” I am almost convinced of keeping my install work part time and working the two days a week I was using to study after the semester ends. I love the freedom of being a business owner (I’ve owned 6 businesses and have grown two into multi-million dollar per year businesses...God has me on a different track now as seminary is about 1.5 years from being over and the pastoral job hunt is on). I’m thinking of starting a Shopify store next and maybe trying out ebay again if I can find a reasonable fulfillment option (I hate to mail things). what say ye other online sellers, any success stories, hints, tips, podcasts or books you recommend?

XP? That’s not supported any longer is it? I’m fairly certain the Chinese have all your files now and are using them, in collusion with Russia, to sell fake plotters with full graphics packages.
  11. Just curious what that button is... I want to press it because I don’t know, but I can’t becaue I don’t know...it’s killing me not knowing!!!!!!
  12. Ok, is there a “copy” button on the Titan series like with the Laserpoint 2? also, is there a way to save the settings or does it default back to the speed and force settings of 198/102 every time you turn it off and on? found how to turn the fan off, it’s with the setup button! Super quiet cutting as to not wake up the boys or the wife while cutting inside...bonus!
  13. Hey, it’s here (2 days late but it is here now). First, I can’t believe how quiet this thing is compared to the Laserpoint 2, and the accuracy is amazing. I am having an issue of setting up my origin...I feel like an idiot! I’m offline, I get the blade to where I want, I press the target/enter button to the right of the on/off line button, hit the on/off line button to show speed/force setting, hit “test” and it cuts over and down from where the blade was positioned for the origin.what am I doing wrong (ok, I may have hit the laser too but does that effect the origin...btw, the laser sucks on black reflective)
  14. No biggie slice! I listened to some videos while doing some cutting and turns out it is a light that indicates if you pressed the on/offline button. It just illuminated when you press the button... I do t know why as you can clearly see if the screen says x or y or if it says speed and force... but you can push it like a button! Weird huh?
  15. I got nothin...nada...it’s not even highlighted or in white in the manual... confused but tempted!!!
  16. I like big bangs... still tempted (no, no, no...not 80’s hair)

    Hello from Mid-Michigan

Now understand that I do really appreciate the guys who endure what prisoners are allowed to get away with these days, it’s not their fault the politicians and judges let it get how it is.
  18. Ummm...asking for a friend or something! Why prefeed your vinyl before cutting? I understand wanting to check tracking but a good 6” should tell you all you need for the majority of jobs and long jobs seem like having to pull 8 feet of vinyl from your catch basket would be more work for the feed system.

Need Advice on Starting up Small Use

What computer do you currently have? I ask because I’m a Mac guy and there is only one cut program they offer for macs, and that is Sure Cuts A Lot (or scalp for short). Any laptop or desktop windows based computer will run VM. As for design, I can do quite a bit in scalp but I also use Inkscape (it really has come a long way since I left this part of the business 7 years ago)... any training you want is also on YouTube if you look. Plus the people in here have been a great help to me!
  20. Looking for a second blade holder, out of stock on us cutters. Anyone know, or can measure the specs of the holder (my new cutter is stuck in shipping until Friday pm delivery)

    Hello from Mid-Michigan

I couldn’t decide either...so I left as soon as I could! Then I had many friends who decided a life of a correctional officer was a good choice... but like G Gordon Liddy said, “those types of people who voluntarily put themselves in prison for a living are not right!”

    Hello from Mid-Michigan

I lived there from 6th grade (1986) until 1994...my family is still there, as is my wife’s family. The only way people know of ionia is if they are huge fans of the worlds largest free fair, or...um...they have family that “resides” there! At one point we had 7 correctional institutions within 15 miles of the city, most within 5... in my travels around the US, I have had several people who knew of ionia...none knew it has the worlds largest free fair

    Hello from Mid-Michigan

Welcome! (A former ionia boy here)
  24. In dry winter months doing car wraps we have seen debris be sucked 3 feet off the ground and onto the vinyl! (Fleet installs can’t always control the environmental conditions of where we are installing and there is only so much sweeping you can do at the prices we charge). If it’s going into vinyl when pulling the backing off, the same static charge will suck up debris off that office floor you thought was clean.
