With using a serial port, there's a possibility you don't actually need a driver, just need to set the comms in your software to the correct settings. Drivers are to tell the computer how to talk to a device. In this case you are talking to the device through the standard comm port so as long as your computer has a working comm port you just need the software to send the correct messages. Most cutters use the HPGL languange over standard RS-232 protocol. What software are you using?

The spec on Stretch has be modified to up to 320 for 20 seconds now. They were having too many occasional failures and changed that last fall. I asked them of that was a change of adhesive and should I continue with my older stuff at 305 and they said no just crank the heat and dwell time up on all of it.

always saved mine in folders by customer in eps so as I transitioned to different programs it was easy to import the designs - signblazer quit being developed 8 years ago when jerry died and it is just a matter of time till it quits working with new operating systems

anything that's in the workspace, and the same color, will be sent to the cutter. If you want to cut it separately, then you either need to move one off the active work space (outside of the pink box), or you need to re-color to something other that whatever color you want to cut. Then in the cut screen, just choose the color you actually want to cut.

I'd also suggest you know that SB is not going to work at some point so save your files in eps formats so that in the future you can open them with something else. If you do have to switch to a new program, you may have 10,000 designs, but how often do you recut them? Just keep SB around to open and covert the files as you need them.
