Mz Skeeter is asking because while what you are doing may be working for you, it is not the intended use of the cutter and will ruin the cutting strip making future cuts not as clean. Have you tried a different program for printing? From this statement, it sounds to me like it is a software problem and you may not be able to use Graphtec Studio to print with your printer. What printer are you using?

I might be one of the very few who has both a Graphtec and Graphtec Studio. Hence, the file request. But if you'd rather just tell me what you issue is, without me being able to recreate it on my side, then I cannot help you. Send the file or not, but I'm just going to say, that most times, sending the file helps us volunteers to troubleshoot a lot faster and more thoroughly.

EPS was created by Adobe and is proprietary but publicly documented format. Meaning any one can make use of it and virtually every vector program does.

Also keep in mind, the people that hang their vinyl with no issues rarely post anything on Amazon, it's only the people that have problems that make the noise. I put some 631 on a textured wall with no problems multiple times.

I did some personal testing with 651 and 751 and both came off about as easy as the 631 did. The glue residue being the only slight difference but it was not much either. Walls are really tough to install on even for experienced folks and the water based adhesive makes it that much tougher IMO.

totally off subject but Nub grafix has a show on facebook every tuesday at 9pm est (with lots of past shows available to watch) with pinstriping techniques along with gold leaving, air brushing - lots of interesting stuff to watch. he answers questions during the live feeds - just please do not embarrass yourself - he no longer works with the Tuetuls nor OCC - he is the real deal and shows techniques, answers questions about brushes and paints, marbleizing while he is striping and or leafing etc. I personally have always been fascinated by a good pinstriper and old sign making with paint and brush https://www.facebook.com/nubgrafix/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

I would never even attempt this kind of stuff, but I love watching it! My great uncle was a sign painter in Iowa....barns, berma-shave, store windows, fire trucks, you name it. A canvas bag of paints and a leather roll of brushes. As a kid I was mesmerized by the stuff he could do by hand. Heck, I still am!

I like your vinyl storage solution Mz Skeeter. I need to give that a try with some of these rolls I don't need to get at very often, the rest is hanging on the wall. What I'm really looking for is ways of storing completed decals. If I'm cutting a file that doesn't use up the full 24" I'll sometimes cut misc. decals out of the excess at the same time. Just stuff I give away as samples. But they start to pile up after a while and need a decent way to store them. Going to try Dakota's accordion file one of these days.

.ai is the illustrator file - .eps is used by most vector programs - you can print the raster file but as you know you need a vector contour line around it to cut. - I do not know much about using an aqueous printer and contour cutting but should be the same as using a solvent or latex without the final product being durable - I am sure you have a special use and not just making decals for outdoor use like most of us on here that have/had printers do. again I always used the RIP for my solvent printers (originally used flexi pro before transitioning to the much easier to use versaworks (that will not work with your canon) - - - Personally I drove 4 hrs away and took the time to learn from someone with a solvent printer before purchasing mine and then attended several trade shows

So what program are you designing in? Is there a glitch in the import of the raster image that is causing the character shift, is that happening on it's way into G Studio? Is there a reason why you can't import a vector image? Was it EVER a vector image? Was the font embedded or is that an option from the design program? No answers but maybe some things to consider. I am a mac user but do not print and do not run a Graphtec. There aren't a lot of us mac users out there. I run Illustrator CS5 on my iMac with 10.13 without too much trouble.

The cutter is not too old. Your cutting software is. It is not for Windows 10 as I have already explained to you. Flexi 8.0 is for XP and older. That cutter can still be connected to the latest version of Vinyl Master, Or newer Flexi software. It would be on Flexistarter. Or probably Signcut. I know it is listed for Vinyl Master. I already looked it up. I have the FC7000-MK2-75 That FC7000 is also listed on FREE Signblazer/ which they are running on Windows 10

Many times it is just user error. Not cleaning the walls. Paint with teflon in it to stop to keep dirt sticking to it. People painting walls and not waiting long enough to cure before putting up decals. I see a lot of complaints on sellers using Wall decals, which is why I have never gotten into it. Too many reasons, to stop them from sticking. Maybe try the GreenStar indoor. From the color charts if appears to be General Formulations vinyl. I use the outdoor General Formulations without any problems. I used some Oracal 651 on a wall here. It came right off, heating it up with a hair dryer before peeling it off.

I cut the long side out of Oracal vinyl boxes 50 yd x 24" and 30". My vinyl pieces are rolled up and standing in these boxes with sizes written on them. You can see the colors very easy. I have the boxes just sitting on the floor side by side.

When I first started I saved all my scrap but after tons of small pieces stacked up it all goes in the trash now unless it’s like a foot wide then I will save it. but I don’t sell decals per-say I only do signs, Banners and lighted signage.

Design software is really more about personal preference than anything else. Yep, that's why I stick with SignBlazer. Cartoon interface, but I like it. By the way, you can try calling USCUTTER and speak with a sales rep to work out a discount pricing deal on the equipment & supplies you'll need. Right now, free shipping on material orders (not machine) over $99.00 (vinyl, HTV, weeding & cutting tools, app tape, banners, magnets, coroplast sign blanks, etc.) You can also save over a hundred and fifty dollars by getting one of the REFURBISHED units they have available. https://www.uscutter.com/Refurbished-28-inch-TITAN-2-Vinyl-Cutter
