That’s the reason you keep draws small and do progression draws it gives the Contractor incentive to progress with the project to keep the money flowing. I never pulled off jobs and jump from job to job to get deposits to provide cash flow if the next person in line for the next job didn’t want to wait they could get someone else or wait and I never had a problem with people waiting on me to finish the prior job. But my contracting company never advertised 90 percent was referrals and repeat customers.

And I noted that you were correct, dakota. You made your point, and then proceeded into another realm. A realm I vehemently disagree with. "Outdated" does not mean "useless" My work continues to be based in SBE, my cutter functions flawlessly in SBE, my brain is comfortable in SBE, and furthermore, I've helped many people here on the forums troubleshoot their hardware/software problems with SBE. The legacy abandonware left to this community by Jerry Bonham is what it is. Still a great resource.

Maybe try and go into Windows Device manager and change the COM port (USB) and see if that jolts things back to normal.

VM does that stupid thing with auto backup files as well. I made a batch script that runs each time I start my computer to find and remove them all.

signblazer was light years ahead of it's time 8 years ago but is getting pretty long in the tooth - even back then we was having trouble with it displaying .eps files in the previews and left all those temp files for every file you used - housekeeping to remove those temp files was a PIA but if Jerry had not passed away I am sure it would be a top contender today

I'm a big Inkscape fan. I just do this as a hobby but it has been able to do everything I've needed. You can even cut directly from it, although it's cutting is very basic. I personally would stick with your current cutting software for cutting and use Inkscape for design. Design software is really more about personal preference than anything else.
