Also, need to make sure it's not advertising a service, visible from a public highway in a moving vehicle and defacing some monuments might find you falling foul of the law, but as far as I know, there have not been any successful prosecutions in the UK. Our public libraries need all the help they can get so let me know if you need any help with that one.

Reverse graffiti is just starting to catch on in the US, but it's been going strong for quite a few years in Europe. As long as you aren't slandering, advertising for profit and you stay on public property it's usually not considered vandalism by the courts. I've been looking at doing some to promote the local public library.

Everything I have is backed up in real time to multiple places using a program called All-sync. I just added a 10TB external hard drive to the mix also.

I am more protective of my personal photos from family and the trips - they are on about 4-5 different drives. I tried to help a professional photographer friend a couple of times when she lots precious photos - so a bit paranoid as those memories would be a horrible loss to be - especially as we get older and sometimes refer back even for reference to old photos. it isn't just about the work info. last year I documented a siding and window project that was to last 8 days and went 5 weeks - until I showed documentation that I was ready to do what I had to do - to get it done right. This year I am currently documenting a kitchen project that was to go 4 month and is now over 7 months and again that documentation got things back on track. I just document like we did at the prison in case we have to go to court - and has paid off. Tip-o-the-week do not go to a big box store for windows, siding or kitchen pictures at 5 months and now over 7 months we have 3 more days scheduled and if all goes well will be done. things like the under counter lighting falling down literally 10 minutes after the electrician left we unfortunately all to common. was 3 months with absolutely no kitchen Rant over - but again protect your document

Hello, I hope this message finds you all well. I have found this Forum invaluable since buying a secondhand Cutting Plotter TYPE 721 that I have now repaired to working order. I would like to give thanks to everybody that gives advice or even just a reply as, without you, mine and many others endeavors would be so much more difficult. I am reading and learning more every time I read the content of this excellent forum and one day will hopefully be able to return some of my gained knowledge! Thanks for your time. Kindest regards and best wishes from the UK :0)

I get it, like powering washing the design onto the sidewalk using the stencil. . The design part is the power washed part. The clean area IS the design. No paint used.

Reverse as in you clean the surface of dirt to leave an image behind. It's not permanent as the grime soon comes back! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_graffiti Not my company as I only work for fun when it comes to reverse graffiti but gives you the gist of things. https://www.streetadvertisingservices.com/discipline/clean-advertising Heres my cobbled together set up I use.

lol - now you are just channeling Klinger from M*A*S*H - - - they almost look like the area where the words are have been cleaned and not painted.

Nothing pesky about that. If you do make it back , give me a shout and I will show you a whistle-stop tour of Southampton :0)

I am one of those pesky ones that sailed into southampton and did the drive to london and back - just enough of a taste to want to go back sometime after my wife retires in 10 months

Greetings everyone :0] The cutter came with a desktop tower with flexi10 and signblazer. Yrying to get to grips with Flexi as it has been recommended to me. The cutter had a problem communicating with the desktop, turned out that the usb port had a broken leg that connected with the printed circuit board. I desolderd and wired a usb lead direct as i didn't have a spate port and couldnt wait to try it! Hope you enjoyed your visit, what part of the uk did you visit? I am locayed in Southampton.

Thanks arty. I lost my HD last winter on my mac (after 8 years). Luckily I had most everything except a few invoices for a couple months on a back up drive but it motivated me to step up my game so I have a double external redundant set running now and did a single on my wifes mac too. Costco had 5TB drives for like $89 or something silly so I bought us each one and I already had a 1TB hooked up to mine.

Very sad to hear this news. He helped me when I first got my cutter around 2012 or so.

I have no doubt he is responsible for the banner that's now stretched across those pearly gates -- "Welcome to Heaven" Peace.

That is so sad to hear. John was one of the very first people who stepped up to really a help a struggling newbie to cutting - who live out in the middle of the ocean, and didn't even have a scrap of vinyl, app tape, or squeegees to work with. I will never forget the time and effort he put forth to help me when I first got started, and packed up a box of some of his old scraps and a few squeegees and shipped them out to me. Without him, no doubt the learning curve would have been much, much steeper for me. I am indebted to him (and a lot of other forum members as well). I am eternally grateful for all the guidance that I've received over the years. I couldn't have come this far without y'all. MAHALO! RIL Banner John!!

Hello, Even the highest price cutters cant read crop marks on reflective. your best bet is to place an appropriate size square of application tape over the marks, and use a ruler to trace the marks onto the application tape.

I have not been able to find an obituary but I read on banner johns facebook page where his brother said he passed away. ( knew he had been in the hospital three weeks ago and all I could get out of him was he was staying with a friend - never offering any more info nor that the situation was that serious. So many or our great contributors have passed away over the years but none that had been around since the beginning of the forum to my knowledge. When his mother got to frail to live alone John moved in and cared for her till her passing in 2015 and within a month or so his beloved dog Fred passed away. after his mom and fred passed John took up wood turning - making pens, mugs, magic wands for the kids etc. I will always cherish a pen he made our of a walnut from my property - - - John spent countless hours on the forum for many years helping others and for the past few years moderating in the background, usually taking the very early morning shifts. Rest in peace Mountain Man
