That is one were autotrace in any program is going to have difficulties. It is low resolution. It has thin lines for the shadowing and brush bristles. I would think only a manual trace would be viable. It would not be too time consuming, but not trivial either. That I think is why you haven't had many responses as it approaches real work. I would suggest a commercial vectorization service if you need speed. If you view this as opportunity, then get out your bezier tool/pen in your preferred program and learn it. If you can't pay a commercial service, or can't figure out the bezier tool I might be willing to take a stab at it. However, I don't think it makes sense to try to recreate it exact to form. It would be better to lose the shadowing. That would make it far simpler. It would drop the color count a great deal. Now, you have the blue of the letters and the brush, the light blue of the shadows, the black of some shadows and the bottom of the brush, the green of the tooth paste, the light green tooth paste shadow, and maybe white. That is five or six colors. Two or three would be simpler and easier if it were to be cut vinyl. How true to form does it need to be? What is their need for vector? Production like cut vinyl? Large format print?

Same here! Been doing the hobby thing for over 10+ years, and have only needed to outsource once - and that was because they wanted it a 30" 3-color. My 24" LP has never failed me. I can creatively section and tile stuff.

I have always had 30" vinyl cutter, and I would not want a cutter smaller or a cutter bigger. I also carry 24" and 30" width vinyl. Over 20 different colors. Vinyl is not wasted. The scraps can be saved and used for other projects. I only sell online. I create designs to use that 28" width of the vinyl. The money is in big decals. I don't have to split anything. I may cut a design that is really 28" w x 60" L. No splits. Bigger decals bigger money. I don't think the $60 for the larger cutter is out of line. That cutter was on sale last week. It is not a matter of will you use that size, create designs to use that size. You really have to create a niche' first or your just going to be competing with everyone else who has a vinyl cutter. You have to stand out. You can read the specs on USCutter.com but this is what is posted for width 24/31/48 in for the 3 different sizes

For the stuff you referenced, a 28" would be more than big enough. I only do this as a hobby have have a 24" cutter, but I've never had a need to bigger. The few cases where I had a design larger than 24" it was simple to break the design into segments that could easily be cut on a 24" cutter and then pieced together during application.

if you are the original owner purchasing from them they will help as long as you have the product - if you purchased second hand that is a different story - if you did purchase from them give them a call. PS it is a plotter and not a printer - they do not function the same. IF your flexi 12 is legit call SAI and they will help you too - they are great to work with

David, Thanks so much for your reply. I told her pretty much what you said...I can get you close but it won't be perfect. She tried to get in touch with the original designer but hasn't heard back. I agree that the shadow should go and reduce to a few colors. I also know that the fonts are a mix of a couple of different fonts. I'll continue to work on it. Thanks again for your help. Russ

From a google search, PES files are the commands that are sent to the embroidery machine. You have to use PE-Design software to build your design and then generate the PES file. Do you have PE_Design software?

I guess ive never thought about the heat in that way, I mean we put vinyl on our tinted windows of automobiles and on the cars themselves so not sure how hot a car really gets. Mine sits in the sun all day and i know with the windows rolled up in summer it gets very hot inside the car. i will have to temp the glass and see what kinda readings i get.
