The designs are copyright protected. Here is Utah and other states may be the same. that fraudulently altering or counterfeiting a registration card, license plate or permit issued by the Motor Vehicles Division is a second-degree felony under Utah law, carrying a penalty of 1-15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. And while many of the violators eventually have the charges reduced to a misdemeanor level, it doesn't start out that way. The felony classification results in the immediate arrest of violators, which has caused some upsetting and embarrassing experiences for average people who would otherwise never find themselves in jail.

A few years back, I owned an SC machine. It was manufactured with the set-screw on the back rail in the wrong position, so that when sliding the pinch-roller assembly over to hit that stopper, the rubber wheel would not be in contact with the lower grit roller. At the time, I created a thread here about this issue, and also called it to the attention of USCUTTER so they could contact their people in China and have factory engineers fix the problem. Well, guess what? Today I got their Brand New Improved SC2, and it has this same defect. I kid you not. So, I took out my electric drill, made a new hole (1.25" over) and put the screw in position where it belongs. Now, when the roller assembly is moved over to that stopper, the wheel remains in contact with the grit roller up front. Anyone who owns the SC2 should be aware of this, because if you slide the right-hand spring-loaded wheel all the way over to the end of the rail where the factory places the screw, it won't hold your vinyl properly and it'll scrunch up or not feed properly. And so it goes...

Sorry guys, life got busy for me the past few weeks. I ended up using the 60 degree blade that US Cutter sent with the Titan in the kit. It worked great after I changed from the 45 to the 60! I appreciate all of your guys' help. My first paid project was finished on time thanks to you all.

pro is a whole nother critter - you could go to the link above and add your cutter info and see if they will give it to you = I think they started with the ce6000's but what do you have to lose - all they can do is say no

The problem with the aqueous printable vinyl is that the coating that allows it to be printable will eventually fail and flake off, even if laminated. I have used clear/transparent Oracal 651 as a laminate in the past since it is normally cheaper than real laminate and available in smaller rolls. This will help protect the decal from scratches but won't really help much with UV protection. It's best to use pigment based inks instead of dye based to minimize fading. I have had decals made like this last for over a year with minimal fading but eventually the coating turns to dust and everything falls apart.

Just for future reference, since we're on the subject of front plates, you can't use reflective red on a front license plate. Actually, anywhere on the front of a vehical: §393.26 Requirements for reflectors. (d) Use of additional retroreflective surfaces.. . . . "(4) No red color shall be used on the front of any motor vehicle, except for display of markings or placards required by §177.823 of this title."

This feud has been going on too long and I have tried to resolve it thru PM's - MB20music - enough trolling Skeeters threads and Skeeter watch the language even if not spelled correctly - it is hard to correct one when both participate in the back and forth - PLEASE both don't respond to each others responses in threads In this case MB20music there was no need to further the feud with the snarky response, skeeter keep it civil................... Both of you on your own are great contributors to the forum and valued members but together you are like nitroglycerin on a bumpy wagon ride. rant off

I see a lot of them for sale but personally I pass - maybe because of where I worked it seems like a bad idea to me if it looks too real

And depending on the design you may be able to break it other places to help hide the splits. A tree for example, you could split off individual branches so that the seams are then where the branch meets the trunk, or larger branch.

Dakota, it's sweeeeet. I like it a lot, cuts fast (compared to the MH) and much quieter. Not graphtec quiet, but certainly quiet enough for my needs and budget! BTW, I used paypal and they gave me 6-months' No Interest credit terms to buy this equipment. In other words, until September, my intention is to create signs and banners and decals and magnets and earn $$$ to pay this off, while not a penny came out of my own pocket up front.

I think he's referring to green at the top and white at the bottom. I'm guessing it's a combination of the camera and the way the glass reflects/refracts the light.

That's just some string type LED lights from Lowes. The kind you cut to length. That is my first ever edge lit, all my other creations are just natural light.
