Abandoned & Auctioned Storage lockers - gotta love 'em. A friend of mine obtained a locker recently and it contained a hat press, which he let me have for the low-low deal of $80. And then, astonishingly, on craigslist some fellow had a case of hats for sale (60 for $70). So, I'm now about to try hat making, while all I need is some HTV vinyl.

These are all very sharp! I would be a little too intimidated to attempt a large install like this right now... need a bit more experience. You do these dry or wet?

My bet is your cutting strip is the issue or perhaps the roller track. If it will cut properly in one area of the cutting bed and not in another that sounds like your cutting strip is not even. Might not show abuse and could just be twisted slightly or such that it prevents good contact. Do a test by cutting some strips that span the whole width of your cutter.

Here's the final one of the trucks. This truck is bright red with flat black stripes and silver pinstripes.

When making signs (which is all I do) my design expertise is included within the price, and I calculate in a charge of $80/hr. Normally, a sign requires very little effort (first or second proof gets approved) and I can live with adding a cost of only $20. for 15 mins. just to type in and arrange words in SignBlazer.

I think of every job as having six steps ---- 1. Interview with client (what does he want?) -- create a Job Sheet 2. Design (and approval of proof) 3. Cut 4. Weed 5. Tape (app tape) 6. Apply to substrate I am posting this here today because I skipped the approval on my last job -- the client had provided me with all the details, it was a simple sign, and he told me to go ahead and just do it. Hah! The client specifically said to use a Serif font (i.e. Times Roman or Garamond, etc.) but when the sign was delivered, all ready to put up, he looked at it and said "It's not bold enough -- please re-do it Sans-Serif, I'm sorry" Approvals, kids, approvals.
