Hey Guys. Been a long time since I posted. I am a sign designer looking to get back into making some signs. (www.signamigo.com) So I'm shopping for a vinyl cutter. I'm not looking into getting into quick sign shop type signs (banners, coro signs, magnetics etc), rather I only want to make higher end hand made dimensional type signs. So this cutter won't be used 8 hours a day. I really only want to use it for cutting paint mask, possibly plotting patterns, and where vinyl might be needed as embelishment on a sign. I thought about an older Roland PNC1100, since I've owned one in the past and loved it. It's slow, but a real workhorse. But I think I'd rather have something newer, only because I forsee less problems getting it setup and running off of windows. So I'm looking for something reliable that will be there when I need it, and that hopefully I can run directly from Corel Draw Do any of the US Cutter models fit that description? Would the SC series be enough for me? I've always owned Rolands before, so I don't want to be disappointed with my purchase. I can always look for a used unit if need be. Thanks! Phillip

Just curious if anyone has made their own lighted work table and what it looks like. My husband is making me one, and we are trying to figure out what we really want to use for our lights. Just looking for some additional ideas. Also, if you had to change one thing with your work table (if you were starting over with one) what is the one thing you would suggest making sure you had? Feel free to throw any additional ideas for making a more efficient work area. Thanks! I enjoy reading the post and experience that everyone has, I especially like how most everyone is great to the new people answering questions and trying to help!

Well It's been about a year that I've last posted due to a stroke. I sure miss sharing information with everyone. I hope to become an active member again and look forward to once again being part of this forum. Going through the Show Your Work, I'm so impressed with the users creativity. I use 2 Pcut 630's that are 3 years old now. They both are still running strong with no problems. Here are some pic's of my latest work I would like to share.

That looks like a digital camera snap of a pic on a computer monitor screen. Why don't you get something like Irfanview and do a screen capture, trim, and edit then load it into your design prgram? If thats too much for you, what is the link to the image?

i have a small business, and want to go a little further with printing on vinyl. Problem is that i don't know what kind of printer i should get. The printer i need must be able to print on vinyl film, most used indoor at some of my skins. The printer should work together with signcut, so i can print after registration marks to fit my actual skincutting models. Can i use a normal wideformat inkjet printer or which kind of printer should i get? thanks.

about a year or so ago, I came across a topic on here in regards to IMAGECUT in SB. The person who wrote it did a "In Memory Of" his grandfather where he took a picture of his grandfather and imagecut it in SB. From what I remember it turned out pretty nice and he had posted some settings he used. I was trying to find that post, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone remember that post? Or has anyone done much with the imagecut in SB and feel like sharing. Thanks Rick

Hi alls, newbie here. I just got my Copam 3050 from USC and I love it. I'm wanting to know what settings some of you more experienced users are using. I have everything at the default settings, I am using a 60 DEG blade, Sign Cut and InkScape. I believe I have the blade set up correctly, not to deep but cutting through the Vinyl with no problem. It just seams like it's having a hard time with small details. And also doesn't always cut all the way around, making it difficult to weed. Any and all adice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe this one? It's called Victorian. Might need to node edit the drip thing on the arch of the "r", seems a bit excessive, maybe it's just me tho.
