I hope the rumor I heard about my buddy Bayotle is not true ... I heard he got arrested the other night .... some gal had him charged with attacking her with a dead weapon

I think it is wild that we have 2 members with over 100 ratings ... 1 is 103 positives & the other is 101 negatives . No names as that will get the thread deleted or locked . Reminds me of the old saying that goes something like this " make a customer happy & they will tell a few people ... make them mad & they will tell everybody " . Thankfully , I have not been a big part of either vote count .

I agree with Dakota in that it ends up being that in many cases . It is supposed to be just as it says . A positive vote for a post that impresses or a negative vote for a post that annoys . The member who is getting 2 negatives per day has 2 other members who dailey add to the negative count ( I wonder if it will ever stop ) . Once in awhile , I can see what posts get a positive rating & which posts gets negatives . Next time I read the thread , no vote count is there . I have seen some posts with 3 votes . ( edit : Ash computers fixed that problem ) If nobody buddies up , it would be good to see how everybody comes across . I know in the other server , there were many members who would never miss a chance drive their point home ... wet vs dry application was a major issue with 1 jerk . That member would had had a 3 digit negative rating also .

I have both Illustrator and Photoshop but usually end up using Inkscape (FREE!) when it comes to vectorization and getting jpegs ready to cut The trace feature of inkscape makes cutting so much quicker and easier. Sometimes its not always the expensive product with the best features.

I know it is irrelevant to your question, but upgrading to the 25" for $30 is going to be well worth it imo. From what I've seen, 24" vinyl tends to be a bit cheaper as far as sq footage goes compared to 12" vinyl AND, with the 12" you are limited to, well, 12"

Will the 631 be suitable for walls that have an oil based paint or an oily finish to it?

I found Broader cheaper also in the price of the shirt but when I add their shipping charges in it comes out higher. Jiffy is free once you order $59.00...

This is actually not accurate. Every one of our cutters comes with SignCut except for Roland and Graphtec units. We do not send SignCut with a Roland or a Graphtec because they come with proprietary equivalents. OP: If you are having trouble with SignBlazer and you have Illustrator I highly recommend downloading and installing SignCut Pro. SignCut integrates with adobe Illustrator extremely well and since you seem to already be proficient in Illustrator this will probably help greatly. If you would like some pointers on SignBlazer Elements just give me a call or read any of the resources that we have available. CRD has a great newbie manual that is available on this forum. We also have a support site (www.support.uscutter.com) which has a knowledge-base and a download section with manuals, guides, and all sorts of other helpful items specifically for the software and the cutter that you are trying to use. In short, the resources that you need are completely available to you. You need to choose whether or not you want to learn how to use this software this machine.

Barnberry, check to see that the bottom two pieces of grain are curves and not a line format, if they are not curves the program will fill them in when you weld. I hope this helps. Rod

First of all: we don't limit any of the complaints, nor do we regulate what or how people post on the forum. The forum is moderated by hardworking and dedicated people to ensure that the ability of others to freely post is not impeded upon by those who would be malicious or vindictive and they do their jobs very well. The forum isn't necessarily a USCutter forum; it's a forum created by USCutter for the graphics, vinyl and sign making community as a whole and as a benefit to all. (this is called forward thinking) The moderators often post their own complaints about UScutter because (here's a tip: ) we're not perfect. There are lots of things we can improve on and we work long hours every day in an effort to do so. Second: It's my understanding that we use SignBlazer because we had a strong relationship with the creator of the software before he passed, and even after years with zero development it is still a relevant and viable option as a design and cutting utility for a very large number of people who use nothing else. It never ceases to amaze me how easily someone can complain about something that is offered to them- for Free. And here is another tip, also free: we do use inkscape; (also free www.inkscape.org) it is included with every purchase of a new cutter as an optional down load with SignCut Pro. Did I mention we offered SignCut Pro for free for a whole year? or Flexi Starter, FlexiSign Pro and Flexi Expert? or MyTinter for window tinting? Or Free technical support to anyone who calls regardless of whether or not they purchased from us? Is SignBlazer the end-all be-all of design and cutting utilities? No. But it is free. And there is something to be said about not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Cheers!

I would never contact my customers, customer. How dumb would that be? It would be better for me to have contract printers coming to me and I don't have to do any sales and marketing. I would save thousands of dollars a year just allowing people like yourselves bring me business and I work directly with you. Its not a very smart business person to go outside his or her customer and give a better price. In fact, I don't know any contract printer that does that. We give people in the industry a lower price and give those outside the industry a higher price. Trust me when I say it's cheaper in the long run to have people giving me contract work then it is for me to sell and market my business. I also don't have to deal with the customer directly.
