Hi

i have a few vehicle outline to play with and im looking for a tutorial on how to use them properly.
im no whizz with illy,i know how to fill each panel with a single colour but i want to know how to do wrap designs.
so id like to know for example how to paste a picture into the outlines...if you know what i mean.

thanks in advance for any help.

As far as using the templates to design wraps, you will need to use templates that are to scale (1:5, 1:10, whatever) and it would probably make more sense to use Photoshop for raster graphics, photos and such.  Illustrator supports raster files, but manipulation of them is better suited to photoshop, IMO.
Having said that, you can copy/paste raster files into Illy and then use the outlines of the template to cut out the un-wanted areas with the Pathfinder tools.  You can also just guesstimate where the wrap will come over the fenders, etc.

i actually get on much better with photoshop but for some reason it never crossed my mind to do the designing there.
and a guestimate would be fine,i dont need the design to fit to the nearest mm.
