As many of you know and have seen my thread Smiley And the results I have turned out with the MH-series cutter, you know that the jagged line issue was a problem for me. I tried EVERYTHING a person could possibly be asked to do within reason. I tried new cutter, new carriage, tension of the belt, grounding the cutter, UPS, ferrite core, all together. And nothing would fix my problem. So I suggested sending me a different brand cutter. Not another "Value Series" cutter like USCutter or the PCut, but a Copam or Graphtec. Well my questions were answered and Levi came through with his word. Today I received my Copam-CP2500. Just the weight of this thing says a lot, nearly 70lbs! I took it out of the box, and before building the stand i plugged it in, and hit "Test" i did 3 test cuts and adjusted the offset to .30mm and the circle with the box came out looking nice, or so we hoped.

So, the dreaded Rockstar Logo that has been giving me so much trouble it's unreal was now loaded into Sign Blazer. *Note, I changed Sign Blazer settings to Copam-CP2500 and put the Offset to 0 because the offset will be controlled by the cutter. Scaled it just a bit and here came the moment that separates the boys from the men. I listened and watched as it cut fast with very little noise compared to the MH-871. *Done! Cut it and put it on the table to weed. Weeded it and what do you know..........it cut the image PERFECTLY!

Thats right! PERFECT, I have thrown some pretty extensive vectors at it and it just shows off while doing it. Rubbing it in and whispering sweet nothings into my ear. Okay maybe not that far but holy crap this thing cuts amazing. Lines are so smooth, and the offset was solved in literally 15 sec. I messed more with that MH than I ever should have. And I want to say thank you to Levi for all the help he has provided me.

My answer to the MH-871 is that shielding is def either non existent or very little at all. I'm guessing the latter. This Copam is smooth and quiet and cuts everything you can throw at it. I tried cutting a design that had letters less than a 1/2" that were giving me trouble with the MH-series and this thing just laughs at it. Weeding was so much easier as well and every, ever lines is smooth and all corners are 90* and all circles, squares are finished perfect.

I have been following your thread and happy I haven't had the problems you have with my Refine.  I am looking to some day soon to upgrade.  Hopefully my refine will hold out till then.
I'm glad you are happy.

I've been thinking of upgrading my cutter in the next 6 months once I make some money off my Pcut to pay for the new one. Sounds like a Copam is in the works for me! My biggest problem with the pcut right now is slowing the darn thing down. It only goes to 50 and some stuff thats not slow enough. I've read there is a chip to fix it. Not sure if they are any more left or not.

Why are you referring to your old cutter as a Refine when it was an MH series cutter?

Glad to hear you got a working cutter.

Isn't the MH also referred to as the Refine series?
