Hi all,
if anyone can help me that would be amazing!!
I just recently got a chinese Rohs cutter and after many attempts i finally got the software (artcut 5) installed as well as the driver.
the only hassle is it wont seem to communicate with the computer.I have been using a usb so maybe i need to try with the serial or paralle port maybe?ive tried uninstalling and installing the software so im hoping its the cables?
if anyone has any ideas so suggestions that would be great!thanks!!

Try the serial cable and get rid of ArtCut I could never get that to import
or open files.
Make sure your port and machine have same settings.

It probably has to be a null modem serial cable,
all the cutters and plotters I have had use the
null modem cable. I yours isn't it may not work.
Last one I bought was at Staples.

I recently purchased the ROHS cutter and I cannot get it to work.  Did you use the serial cable or usb? Any help would be appreciated, I have had the cutter for 2 weeks and am frustrated!!!!!!

She used the USB and changed over to SignBlazer Elements which you can download from the link below. When you install your USB driver open your Device Manager (assuming you are using Windows) and expand your ports section to check which Com# to use. You can access Device Manager by click Start and either selecting run in xp or search in vista. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter, this will open your device manager.
