I am an airbursh artist.  My application is primarily cutting stencils although after reading to page 14 in this topic I may do some other stuff.  Making $ sounds good to me.

just about settled on the MH-871.  Once question remains and I haven't seen an answer.  I also sent the question to tech support but haven't gotten an answer yet.  I have seen a roland cutting reusable stencils from sheets of what I've been told is lexan.  I've also been told to use mylar and the mylar sheets I've seen range in thickness from .003 to .005 to .010 mil.  Will this cutter cut that?

Thanks Rex,

That's what I was looking for.  I'd say I was pulling the trigger on my order today but I stumbled upon this  topic:

http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=ded0ef90349f1cc9217885ac0fb8c6a5&topic=22822.0

"Received my 3rd cutter and still problems"

and I am now a little nervous.  I've got alot of 3/4" letters in Arial Black typeface to cut and if it cuts jaggy on straight lines it will do me no good at all.

I'd also feel a lot better if I got a response to my tech support email.  Geez, if they don't talk to me when I am trying to give them money how're they going to treat me after they've got my money?

Hopefully they will get back to you with a response soon.

I know it does seem as of recent there has been a batch of cutters with issues but they sell tons of these every week. I know in my experience I had a PCUT for over 2 years with no issues. I would recommend purchasing it from the site versus eBay though because of the longer warranty that is included   Thumbsup

Thanks.  If I do get one it will definately be through the site and not ebay.  It's worth the extra $.

I will chime in on two comments. I am one of the ones in the post you are talking about. Please read my update there.

As for the mylar, I don't know what thickness you are using but I was able to cut window tint before my cutter took a dive. I had it covered with clear mask as the backing to hold it together.
