Fedex has Finally updated my shipment tracking this evening.

They now changed the delivery date too- Oct. 30th from Today the 29th.

And updated its arrival to Chicago at 7:52PM Oct. 29th.

How nice when you sit around all friggin day waiting on a Scheduled delivery because 1)you don't want to miss it, and they may leave it or take it back for delivery another day after waiting 8 days to get it 2)you don't want 2 big boxes worth $660.00 sitting out by the front door risking someone coming by and stealing it 3) you don't want it sitting outside at the front door getting rained on all day and destroyed.

Date/Time            Activity        Location           Details
Oct 29, 2009 9:25 PM Departed FedEx locationCHICAGO, IL
Oct 29, 2009 7:52 PM Arrived at FedEx locationCHICAGO, IL
Oct 24, 2009 2:15 AM In transitPORTLAND, OR
Oct 23, 2009 11:24 PMLeft FedEx origin facilityAUBURN, WA
Oct 23, 2009 6:19 PM Arrived at FedEx locationAUBURN, WA
Oct 23, 2009 4:41 PM Picked up     AUBURN, WA
Oct 23, 2009 3:12 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx

Oct 22,2009 Order placed with usc.

I now have a Fellers account set up and a SignWarehouse account set up and I am setting up some other accounts so I will never have to wait 9 long days for vinyl again, orders will be smaller on an as needed basis from now on so shipping should not be a major issue and while setting up my account with fellers I asked about and got setup Free shipping on orders over $75.00.

So to the OP, about 9 long days. (That's IF fedex decides to actually deliver it tomorrow, its suppose to continue raining here so they might hold off not wanting to get their feet wet or the vans tires wet, who knows.)

If it wasn't something you were in a hurry to get it would have taken 2 days. Grin

So true.

At least SignWarehouse and UPS have confirmed the delivery on my 44 roll vinyl rack and the other stuff I bought today for This Monday Nov. 2nd, they still may beat the vinyl getting here yet.

OK fedex pulls up to the house, it's pouring down rain like crazy, 2 guys on the truck , one guy jumps out of the truck with a box over his shoulder and Darts across the lawn and drops the box at the front door, (I am watching because I am soaked after just unclogging the front gutter and just walked in the door myself) I open the storm door grab that box and slide it into the living room, turn around to see the fedex truck pulling away, I KNOW I have 2 boxes coming and RUN out the door after them yelling HEY WAIT!, the driver stops and says "what?"

I said I am supposed to get another BIG box delivered by you today that both were due yesterday.

He starts lookin around the truck (pretty empty truck) and finds the second box about Twice the size as the one they dropped and ran. So I had the guy carry it back to my door and set it inside.

Glad I actually caught them delivering or the big box would have gone back and likely lost knowing fedex.

My order is complete (thank god), so 9 Long days to be delivered is now Confirmed to the Chicago area.

My estimated delivery date from Fedex changed to Monday Nov 2. It was scheduled for today the 30th.

At least I got a tracking number today for my vinyl order now, thanks Levi!

So hopefully my cutter and my vinyl order will BOTH be here monday. Will keep you posted.

It looks like 8-9 days is the average shipping time from USC.

9 days for stocking up / starting up don't hurt you waiting. (it just sucks that it takes that Long)
But if your doing a job and gotta have it Now, that will never cut it, you'll lose customers, most are always in a Rush and will go elsewhere when you tell them, I need to order that color, I'll have it in a week, maybe two. Roll Eyes

Heres what I got today. A few tools aren't in the pics. (except the open rolls of BGS had that already.)

Only starting out here, 1st vinyl order, give me time. Thumbsup

Gotta ask you, what do you mostly do, banners (you mentioned most of your stuff being 20 feet long)? Do you do full print and wraps?

Are you a home business or have a storefront? Or is all that inventory for ebay?

Just curious .

I do full side vehicle  graphics,  most are  8-12ft long  mirrored,  (2 sides)  so that takes up about  18-20 ft  per order,, I sell on EBAY only,,,   and some other free sites.   I work  from my home only.  I do not  do printing or wraps..  and I am proud to say I am a  Top Rated  and Powerseller on EBAY,,,  stop in

Cool looking stuff in your store. Thumbsup

I'd love to see some of your stuff installed, ever get pics from customers?

I will buy my vinyl in the 50 yard rolls to save on price in the future once I get going and if it takes off, and then figuring my needs as there needed.

I know the longer rolls have a better price, but no sence investing heavily in them until things actually get rolling along.

And with some extenuating circumstances beyond my actual control at this time, I may not even be able to start doing this by spring like I hope.

thanks so much,  Grin I try to keep my designs unique..  and not do what everybody does,,,  customers want unique,  they don't want their vehicle looking like everybody else out there.   I don't ask for pictures..  because I use my own for display,   and I get alot of repeat customers and special orders. This has totally supported me for  over 3 years.  My factory job of 29 years moved to Mexico  in 06'

Those do look cool and I am sure are good sellers for you.

Do you draw them all yourself or are they from a bought CD collection?

Or are they a mix of graphics to create one image?

If your hand drawing those, your way ahead of the game .  Thumbsup

We understand the difficulty that long lead times create.  We are working hard to make improvements in this area.

Orders to the east coast generally take 4-5 business days to arrive (one full week) when shipped from our Washington State warehouse.

We have recently implemented policies that ensure that almost all orders are now shipped the day they are placed if your order gets in by 1:00 Pacific Time.  Frequently, we are able to ship out same day for orders placed up to about 2:30 Pacific Time.  This is an improvement over our previous performance.

It is our intent to make substantial improvements in the near future that will drastically improve transit times.
