Crap, I hate to double post, but I noticed this forum after I put this up in the general discussion. This is where this belongs.
I have a Lynx 60 vinyl cutter I bought from Sign Warehouse a while back.

So here is my problem. Anytime I cut vinyl, the cutter will make a wierd sound at start up. When it goes to cut right to left or left to right, it cuts a jagged line. When it is doing this, I can see the roller that feeds the vinyl jitter back and forth. Here is a list of tests I have done:

I have replaced the blade, teflon strip, the blade carriage, & a new cable. A year ago I replaced the y motor.

Yes the blade is set the correct depth & offset.
Yes the carriage is on correctly & in the track.
Yes slowing down the cut speed from default 30 cm/s to 3cm/s helps but does not resolve the issue.

I do not believe it is a communication issue because it will do this on a test cut.
I do not believe it is the blade holder because I swapped a pen into the carriage & it still does the jagged movement.

I have posted a video on youtube:

Thank you to anyone that can help. This has been on goiung for the last month & I am losing out daily.

Watching this video and seeing the edge of the cut I think it's either the encoder, the motor, or motherboard.  Most likely encoder or motor.
It's possbile that the encoder is actually part of the motor.  if the machine is on and idling, can you rock the feed roller back and forth or is it firmly held in place?

It's SIGN BLAZER.  not sunblazer, sandblazer, signblaster, or anything else.

My machine is doing the same thing, only it's brand new and DOA, we've done everything we could to fix this thing. Brandon I'll give you a call on Monday to get this thing switched out.
